Loved the whole presentation for this, very unique, house tour!! The intro felt like a road trip and then joining you on the 45 minute hike to this beautifully designed property in such picturesque surroundings was just amazing!! As an Aussie, I noticed the European/Scandinavian inflection in Sally's accent. She's really gone local now 😊 No wonder, when she gets to live in such a stunning landscape!
Gorgeous location! And those treehouse pods are interesting too. But where is the water and waste stored? Does somebody have to come after a guest leaves to empty tanks out? Can’t be an easy thing to do taking into account these dwellings extreme location…on the side of a near sheer cliff, surrounded by trees.
Also the electricity… didn’t see any solar or any other source 🤔🤔🤔

It is really very nice. A bit disappointed there are windows on only two sides. Really like to have a window over the kitchen sink, the forest is quite beautiful too and might see more wildlife with a view in that direction. And it needs at least a peephole in the door.

I think all that traveling would put me off .. Was great though.. The questions that was not asked .. Water ? where does it come from to fill a bath and shower. where does the waste water go . Where's the electric coming from ? nothing like this was asked would love to have known.

Too funny, my friend used to have a house that was shingled like that to make it look like feathers on a bird. His actually had a huge 360 degree rotating tower on it. This is a beautiful house with gorgeous views.
I hope nobody has a powerful telescope from the other side of the Fjord, for 'peaking' inside those curtainless treehouses. But the treehouses do look majestic and magical.

How is the strength of the tree and root system assessed? It seems like a relatively large structure for that size tree, and is there any history of landslides in that area?

Lovely spot but not sure I could see myself sleeping well way up there not to mention carrying bags uphill and so on definitely for those who don't pack much and used to hiking.

The place is stunning! But how do you travel with big luggage in areas where it is difficult to carry it? It is better to have two backpacks. Which month did you go? My dream is to see the arboreal sky.
Yes - Its definitely recommended to pack light with backpacks 🎒 We went at the end of March but if you want to see the auroras I think going slightly earlier would be better! 😊

They talk about how thoughtful they were in their construction, saving the tree, and then returning it to nature. However, clearly many trees were chopped down, just to create the view.
Those types of trees are invasive in norway anyways, and they steal water and sunlight from all other potential vegetation beneath

As an architect and builder, this project blows me away and I'm rarely impressed by anything these days of same old, same old...just a different day. Kudos to the designer/builder.
As a mechanical engineer I am impressed as well, but have quite a few questions about the strength capabilities of single tree supporting all that load.

Um … no. LOL! I’m not sure if you are making a joke or really misunderstood. They were set up by the bride and groom at a wedding. They each were friends with one of the couple and at some point in the reception they had a dance with the newlyweds and their friends switched dance partners during the dance. It was a cute set up scheme on their friends’ part
When they say light luggage they mean light how in the world do you manage in the dark carrying luggage up there only God knows but I Guess for the thrill and joy the highest thoughts are the ones that contain joy after all.

I agree. My definition of a tiny HOME is one that’s intended to be a long term, primary residence. This is a hotel. It’s a very unique, beautiful treehouse hotel; but when you think of it as a hotel room, it’s not tiny at all.

Absolutely NOT. I have to take two flights, a ferry, and then do a nearly hour-long hike up a friggin mountain while carrying luggage to get to this "home" that's the size of a nut? That's a no for me. Lord help you on that hike during inclement weather.
