The marth set is 80% the reason I even got this game. I’m so hype to be the hero king, and I heard that fully upgraded falcion is viable although not the best, I’m so hype. Just started this game got a couple people to play with I’m super excited
Personally I decided to pull a Gaijin Hunter and just go full Prowler for GU, since I didn't want to jump back and forth between battle systems of GU and World. You would not believe how relaxing it is, not having to worry about collecting charms, and weapons/armor take almost no effort to build at all.
Actually I'm pretty sure the cats were buffed quite a bit in GU compared to Gen. Or at least, the ability gauge fills up a LOT faster than before, so you can throw abilities out left and right without worry. I never have to worry about trying to maintain enough meter to keep my boomerangs powered up like I had to in Gen, and I have spare meter to use healing horns and other abilities too.
Awesome videos. I really admire how well you arrange all the things in your videos, it's alot of work I know but the result is a well done video, videos like yours are just awesome to watch.

Sure, there's charm farming, but what about ancient shard farming? I have been looking for years in generations for a worn charge blade, and the other 3 people in my group of hunters have gotten one within a month of each other.

Actually, just in case you do, here's a mixed set that I put together for use with Adept-Style Dual Blades: Head: Sword Saint Earring Chest: Kecha Mail X (Decoration: Refresh Jewel 1) Arms: Kecha Braces X (Decoration: Refresh Jewel 1) Waist: Blango Tassets GX Feet: Ludroth Greaves XR Talisman: Evade Dist+6 Misc: you also need 3 Decoration slots on either your talisman OR your weapon, which you use to gem in a Refresh Jewel 1 and a Refresh Jewel 2 to get you Stam Recov +4 Net Resulting skills: Mind's Eye Constitution +1 Marathon Runner Stamina Recovery Up Evade Extender The purpose of this set is not specifically to focus on your DPS, but rather to maximize as much as possible your ability to spam the Dual Blades' Adept Dodge ability. Marathon Runner makes your Demon Mode's stamina drain much less significant, Stam Recovery Up makes it so even of you run out your stamina bar, you almost instantly have enough stamina to dodge again , Evade Distance helps you reposition yourself with the adept dodges and the following demon dashes, as well as letting you adept dodge more easily since you're technically "in" a dodge animation for more frames, and obviously Mind's Eye is just awesome (it doesn't SOLVE the Dual Blades sharpness problems, but it makes it so you don't have to worry about bouncing and then getting hit during your rebound animation - you can just keep fighting the monster and sharpen when you can).

yeah, they're always available unlike MHWorld. in GU (even in 4U and 3U too) you can just go ahead to your quest giver and select whichever event quest you'd like. they're not timegated and you can do the solo/with 4 people. just know that eventquests are hub quests and thus are always scaled for multiplayer, making them quite a bit of a challenge when soloing! (except of course when you have G-Rank gear and go for the high rank quests)

yeah, G-Rank hyper brachy is pretty dang tough. I wouldn't recommend soloing him tbh, it is possible but just too much of a hassle tbh. he takes forever and if you're not careful he'll just oneshot you... just open a hub for eventquests and tag the related eventquest in the title and you'll find plenty of peops willing to farm him for hours on end! Cheers
The Brachy isn't hyper. It hits harder than Hyper Brachys but has less health than regular G rank Brachys You can solo it with strong damage and lockdowns -Traps with charge blade stun -Traps with aerial para SA -Traps with Greatsword - Heavy bow for flinch spam and high damage -Traps with HBG But it is a bit of a pain For 2 player Aerial SA or IG + CB can lockdown the brachy while dealing high damage (CB stuns it very easily after the mounts). Greatsword works well too if you don't mind missing out on the CB KOs. LBG is also a good lockdown option. For 4 player you'll want 3 DPSes (Brave HBG is the best dps in the game) and a controller to lock down the brachy with status (LBG is the best at this, but aerial para SA and IG are both very good at it too)
Desperately needed the ability to transmog weapons as well - especially since the ugly frickin mantis weapons are overpowered to the point of making all other weapons pointless.

The thing that makes them too good is their overall awesome stats + three slots making them the no-brainer choice for mix sets. You just get soo much for free without any drawbacks. Literally the only downside to them is that they lack Affinity but with the current meta of Weakness Exploit, it is not hard to make up for the lack of it as long as you know where/how to attack a monster.
... So mostly just things that look funky but have crap stats so there is no point bothering with them. Meanwhile you neglected to mention there are some DLC quests that are ACTUALLY USEFUL... like the one that nets the Phoenix Wright Palico gear but also gives codexes for fixing skills quickly and easily, and is arguably easier to do than the other ones that also give codexes...
is there a way to post hub id's on a website or somewhere on social media to find people to play with? I'm having a hard time progressing in the game and need people to play with to complete random quests and farm. Any advice is highly appreciated. Cheers

I've tried so hard to like ultimate but I just can't do it. This game is so goddamn tedious to play after the quality of life upgrades in world. I can't believe this stuff didn't make me hate generations before but it sure does now.
I thought the same thing, but I stuck with it and I like it better than world now TBH. Endgame is so rich with content, so much deviants to hunt and mixed sets to make, it's not just farming the same 4 elder dragons like in World.
I'm very happy with charm run quest, the number 1 DLC I was expecting...now to wait for number 2, the Hunter X Hunter collaboration so I can transmog my speedrun sets into Gon's appearance and go rekt their ass.
And what do I do if I can't play online because I am not paying to support nintendos bullshit? Am I just fucked now since everything is scaled to the now paywalled multiplayer?

I've looked everywhere for collab quests lists and rewards they give you. They weren't clear at all. This helps a lot.

I've read they are always available. Just make sure you download them all from the housekeeper.

Yes, you can probably still download MH4U's events to this very day.

Not really. Crappy sharpness, no element. They just have that triple slot and the 60+ armor. But not that much op.
