Built in 1912, Alana and her husband have spent the past ten years renovating their enchanting Edwardian bungalow in Haddon Heights, New Jersey. I cannot believe the negative comments in the beginning. So rude! I loved her style and choices. Her love of family treasures and heirlooms. Incorporating so many textiles from India really gives her home a uniqueness . I think this curated home is designed with her family and life in mind . Isn't that what home should be?
The trolls are always out. We can only imagine what they're homes look like. Not everyone's style is the same and that's what makes us so original.

It’s refreshing to see a young homeowner who loves maintaining the originality and character of the home and who also loves collecting antiques. So many her age are simply throwing out everything “old” and are decorating only in gray and white. SO boring! And so unoriginal. I applaud her! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This young woman has great taste! I have seen many homes in the U.S. and the U.K., and I really think hers is so well curated and thoughtfully put together. Also, she has so many great family pieces that add to the charm of the home.
It’s nice that she and her husband both enjoy the process of making their home special. I think the sun room was so pretty, especially the plants and the cork floor.

I love this tour, the home, the size, and especially the eclectic taste that Alana has. I actually took notes and will have my friend find me a cotton quilt like yours when she next visits her homeland. Of all the homes I've seen thus far, this one was the most relatable. Most of the time, Homeworthy's tours are in homes with budgets that far exceed the average home owners decorating budget; and that's ok. It gives us inspiration and serves as eye candy. This home tour made me feel at home! To think that I can get things at Target and make them look as stylish and upscale as her kitchen peninsula chairs is inspiring! Alana, your respect for your ancestors paintings is admirable. I hope my nieces display my paintings when I am gone. Thank you Alana and Homeworthy for allowing us into your beautiful home!
Love her home! Very relatable! Some homes have items that aren’t necessarily affordable. But this home features items that one can actually imagine having for self. Looks extremely cozy and welcoming! One of my favorite tours.

oh my goodness i am sooo inspired by the cork tile checkered floor in her sunroom. that sunroom is one of my favorite rooms EVER featured on this channel - and that is really something to say when this channel is full of so much beauty. i absolutely love this lady's personal style and her home. if i could describe my ideal home personal style it would be hers :) love everything!!!! also - i have never seen a green leather sofa like that before and if we ever have to replace ours, i will be 100% looking for a green leather one. so unique and gorgeous!!!

Love, love, love her style. As a person with a lot of ancestors that served in the British Raj of India I have grown up with a love of Indian culture. I already have some Indian elements to my decor, but not enough. This video has given me the answer to a beautiful piece of silk I brought back from India. It's going on the dining room table. 😀

Stunning. It really seems like she and her husband collaborated with the house itself. They really looked at the original design and then added their own style to that. So cozy and eclectic but feels like a HOME. It’s inspiring.
The green sofa is a showstopper. I loved the fact that they lived in the house for several years before they started the renovations.

I enjoyed this video. I always love children’s rooms and her daughters room didn’t disappoint. The kitchen was my favorite room in the house. The host was so sweet and I loved her personal style also.
I like it when you visit homes where the dwellers are older. They do not need to explain themselves, there is such a peace about their choices, and their voices are calmed, low and wise.
I find some of the hosts very long winded and going on about minutiae.
Same! These younger men and women talk talk talk and always have an air of holier than thou. They are so insecure but full of vanity. Most of them don't even have a sense of style, they just feel the need to show off.
I don’t see how your comment applies to this video and host . This young lady is so interesting, has a lovely voice tone and seems to have a very strong sense of family and passed down family treasures. I also usually FF through the endless Homeworthy chit chat ( the minute the host sits down to chat …. I FF ) , but l actually enjoyed her chit chat time.

I like that so much has been saved/restored in this home. Very eclectic, some areas I love, some are just too much unrelated stuff going on. But she absolutely loves everything so that’s the way it should be.

Your home is a treasure. I love the stories that go along with your pieces. I had a girlfriend that rehabbed a home on 3rd. in Haddon Heights. When her next door neighbor passed away the nephews brought in several dumpsters and tossed everything including gorgeous pieces of walnut and mahogany furniture, fine china, silver etc. My girlfriend would dumpster dive at night to save the treasures. She used the pieces in her own home.

I was absolutely entranced and enjoyed every single room. I thought it was ingenious to paint kitchen walls same color as cabinets. Amazing workmashup and design all around. I want to live in something very similar.

I don’t live too far from you. I love the old homes in that area and appreciate that you value the original details and intent. I love the sunroom! We have similar color tastes as I have the same color cabinets in my kitchen, beadboard in areas, grays and dark greens…and I have a 1932 colonial home. I learned some new things about Indian textiles…kantha. I never heard of that, but I love the colors and will be looking into purchasing some.

Your husband gives you "Free Reign" not Free Range...you are not a farm animal.😊 This home is very lovingly curated.
It is free rein, not free reign, as in letting a horse go where it wants. All reigns are free when you are the King or Queen.

I think one challenge with Homeworthy’s format is that they clearly don’t edit the videos. I am sure people misspeak all the time when presenting their homes, and the HW videographer just lets it roll. This could easily be edited and taken out, or re-shot, for the benefit of the audience and also the presenter. Similarly, the camera work is often…rough, shall we say, with the subject going in and out of focus.
I like it when everything looks so authentic and in line with the tastes of the inhabitants of the house. I loved this house 💙💙💙💙

In the UK we call bungalows with a bedroom upstairs Dormer Bungalows. I like your bedroom wallpaper. The design is an old Persian carnation pattern.. I've always loved Indian art and fabrics and your bungalow is lovely 😊🌺

Thank you for showing us your home. Indian blockprints are something that you can never replicate anywhere else in the world. Thanks for incorporating these very special handmade things from India. Also, for being honest. I've seen some home owners showing indian fabrics and prints saying that its English design and made in london by a famous designer.
