+freekickerz Quality and performance? i doubt that completely, they basically have the same specs and performance figures. The handling of the Jaguar is sublime and the jag has far better looks. The Benz exterior looks like car designed in 2007.

Honestly, I am a big fan of british cars more than I am of german cars. That's why even though I admit the AMG looks fancier, drives smoother, and the interior is outstanding; I would still go with the F-type. It sounds AMAZING.
These guys are just living it, making videos about cars, making enough to buy them and then just cruise through Europe

Everyone has different ears db sound levels. So in the end the Jag wins on speakers. Why? Some people find skull candy headphones better than beats and Bose headphones. The truth is, when it comes to hearing music and sounds, everyone has a different taste so no sound speaker is better than another one. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder aswell as sound.

Stunning cars. Jag is just absolutely beautiful. It might be just me but the Merc GTS rear end reminds me a lot of Porsche 928 GTS.
@detonater2112, I may be 4 years late but I definitely see what you are talking about. Although the 928 wasn't the success nor the successor to the 911 that Porsche was looking for, personally it is one of my all time favorite Porsches ever. I think it was based on the gold one in the 1979 film Risky Business, starring a young Tom Cruise. My how much he and the world has changed since then.
I'd have to drive them both to be sure, but I think I prefer the F-Type.

Not true. I sold and frequently drive both. The AMG price is very similar and is a much better car: quicker, better brakes, better build, better balance, better interior, etc. The exhaust note is even better in person. The recording doesn't give you the reality of the in person experience, plus you have to set the car on race mode and hit the exhaust valve button on the console to get the full exhaust.
The moment the AMG became available Jaguar hasn't been selling well around here.
I sold and drove both of these cars quite frequently. Took the out on Sundays when we didn't have clients.
There's not one thing the Jag is better than the AMG. Mercedes built a superior car in every way with similar pricing.
As for the supercar presence, actually they are on par.

I saw an F Type R in red when I was near Liverpool on the A41 yesterday and it looked great. I bet the true blood looks even better in person
Hopefully the AMG GT-S is better build quality then the C63 AMG. They are always in the shop for minor issues, but still are not considered very reliable. As for the JAG, I haven't researched it enough to see if it is unreliable as other english made cars and older jags. They both are gorgeous and have it's pros and cons, but anxious to see if these two companies fixed their problems. Great vid boys

+MONKY LONDON I feel JWW is quite calm and probably doesn't turn of the TCS most of the time but out of all of them I also feel he is the one who is the best driver who could get away with it off. And does the Lotus even have TCS?!
The Jag weighs about 400 pounds more and is about 1/2 sec slower in the quarter mile than the Merc. Not bad considering its around $40000 cheaper at a similar spec level to the Merc.
Well it also has about 50 more hp
+Samuel Abraham Actually no. The Merc has been shown at Dyno testing to be around 542bhp- 550bhp plus whilst the Jag varies from 532-550 plus ,both stock tested. So both have similar outputs whilst the Jag is over 400 pounds heavier...0-60 mph 3.0 (merc) and 3.4 (jag) and the Merc does the quarter 1/2 a second quicker.imagine the Jag ,300 pounds lighter or so. Seems like the Jag has a wonderful engine but is ridiculously heavy.

Jag looks better: better front, back is out of this world especially in person. Supercharged better than turbo lag. Prefer the Jag but the GT-S seems quite darn good too
+Justin Reid you can't get rid of turbo lag. reduce it yes, get rid of it? no. supercharged engines are more responsive.
not sure what your last comment even means. you make it sound like Japanese and German have monopoly on good engineering. very closed minded and it's that kind of mentality that results in stagnation and lack of innovation
As a potential F Type buyer, for a handful of reasons (price among many) this video helps to confirm my expectations of a lightly used version. Both are fabulous cars! I might have the AMG GT in two more years. I won't be in a 360 by 2019 and I'm okay with that as well.

The F-Type SVR will do a much better job at competing with the AMG GTS. Higher top speed, faster acceleration form 0 to 60, more beautiful, amazing sound :)

imo, AMG GT-S design and drivetrain more subtle/ingenious inside and out. its make the driver feels more special and difference. its like being in Philharmonie de Paris hall watching metallica performs.

When his F-Type was parked up right next to Paul's AMG, the white lipstick did look a bit out of place... but everything else about the Jag is great!!
Your F-Type has way more presence than the Merc - don't underestimate it. Looks and sounds way better too and this is coming from a former AMG guy. Nothing beats that JLR V8 in the sound department, not even the M156 6.2 V8.

I'm still yet to hear an F-Type v8 but the v6 are lovely cars and they look very different back end to a v8
I just prefer the jag, it sounds fantastic and it is seen less often so it feels more unique.
F-Types sound is much better than the AMG's.. Although i would prefer the AMG the F-Types engine is just awesome. who wants a 4.0 litre v8 when you can have 5.0 or even 6.2litres as in the preivious AMG's. Fuck downsizing

Exterior: tough one but I think the Jag has the slight, just barely there edge.
Interior: GTS hands down! Stunning interior, looks so classy and refined.
Sound, Jag all the way! It's the one thing I actually do not like (I didn't think those words would come out of my mouth when speaking of this fine Mercedes) on the gts is the exhaust sound - sounds like a really old truck diesel engine when at idle, not much better when up to speed.... just strange for such a stunning car.

Looks like you pay more for the GTS just for a better interior. The jag sounds better even with stock exhausts imo (I've heard both in person.) but for the prices of these in 2018 I'd rather get the GTS as a daily.
Who else thinks Seb, Shmee, Mr JWW, Paul, and Sam should make a group like cupgang and have their own emblem and stuff?

The Amg has better perfomance and better interior, but the f-type looks better and sounds better.
Note that Sam has a QuickSilver exhaust on and Paul has the stock AMG GT S exhaust

The AMG GT-S is quite beautiful as far as modern cars are concerned. Reminds me of 928 GTS rear treatment, in a very good way.
The white trim on the front of the F-Type is SCREAMING to be blacked out!

F Type is a better overall car than the AMG, but it is relatively popular in the UK saying that I would choose the AMG because of the more modern tech and interior.

I love the F-type, but the very fact that there's a 60k version of the body style gives the GTS the edge. It's just more special.
