How to Import you Drawing into Procreate for Beginners

This step by step tutorial will show you how to import your drawings and artwork into procreate in 3 simple steps. You will need a scanner, computer, and an ipad with procreate on it. I like to scan my illustrations as I work on them and in between colors. Procreate is a great way to clean up your illustrations, add color, texture, text, etc.

1 - Scan Image
2 - Save image to IPAD
3 - Import into Procreate
Tips
- make sure the scanner is clean
- scan at a high resolution
- export at high quality

You can just get a scanner app on your phone or take a picture of the drawing and import it to pro create create a layer on top and then trace it

I don’t think photos have the same quality and uniformity that a scanned image has… But I guess you can try 😜

Hello, this is really helpful but I would like to know can you import a sketch or image or outline from a website to Procreate in order to color it? I just started to learn about Procreate, I can’t draw just color. Right now I’m using a different app,but I’m curious if I can do that in Procreate. Thanks. 😊

I should make a video about this because it would be easier to show you:). You first need to get the image onto your tablet, by saving it to your photos or to a folder. Then in procreate you go to + image

I didn’t scan it, however a lot of scanners do let you wirelessly send things so it could worm
