- Here is a cake that is moist, flavorful and easy to make! It starts with a box of cake mix and had a subtle pistachio flavor and a light creamy frosting. Make it in a tube pan or 9x13, it's sure to please!

My grandma used to make this for St Paddy's day, she used the dream whip packets to make it as convenient as possible. Good memories!

Yes I’m 67 years old and have alway made pistachios cake you can add chopped pistachios in the cake instead of walnuts you can make your pistachio pudding frosting mixed in with real whip cream or cool whip or dream whip if you want the cake more green add green food coloring that’s optional but real chopped pistachios is the key

My mother-in-law used to make this and I loved it! Since she passed I have not had it and I did not know it would be so easy to make. I have got to try this. Thank you gentlemen. P.S.: I also like pistachio ice cream but, sadly, it is hard for me to find nowadays.

I am curious if you could do the same kind of frosting from cream cheese while using the green pistachio mix ?
Yes you can. I make it with cream cheese frosting and it’s delicious.
I'm wondering though, if the pudding, like regular gelatin, would stabilize the whipped cream? I've never tried that, but I have used gelatin to make stabilized whipped cream frosting before, with good results. :)
Hi Hedro, I'm not sure if the pudding would because I don't know if it contains gelatin. But I do believe it has corn starch in it, which when mixed with a fat can be a thickening agent...so it might work! Thanks for watching!

Another tweak is dry cherries and chocolate chips to batter. Makes a spumoni cake. Just sayin'
