I really liked this omnibus, it’s a lot of fun. I have not read many of the Dark Horse Star Wars comics & I was not disappointed. I probably liked this Vader material more than Gillen & Soule’s material. If you are a fan of this then I highly recommend the Star Wars Legends The Old Republic omnibus.
I Remember liking Zayne Carrick alot, back in the day. I chose to skip Old Republic only due to some runs they didn't include. Though one of the storylines, in this Omni, relate to that series.
I definitely loved reading this content again. Brought me back to a time when I would read these issues in a library. Only real critique was if they added the final Vader book "Darth Vader and the Ninth Assassin" (Seidell), which followed Ghost Prison.
My sentiments, exactly! Soule's done great work in the SW universe and comics but, in light of Gillen and Pak's Vader runs, it is noticeably weaker. Personally, I always preferred the Episode 3 video game's "Jocasta Nu Scene" 😉
@@cridicalmedia I wonder why Marvel is waiting so long to release more DH era omnibus. Clone Wars vols 1&2, Legacy vol 1 & Old Republic vol 2 are currently on the top of my must buy list.
Question. Should I read this one that you showed first. Or the other 2015 Jason Aaron omnibus. Sorry if its a silly question, but just getting into star wars comics and its all quite confusing lol. Thanks!
All Good. This book is Legends Material now, so it doesn't affect the Aaron Omnis timeline. So, you can read this, at any point, since these events happen 18 years prior. If Anything, the Gillen Vader Omni (from the Vader 2015) , is more of a companion piece to Aaron's SW run. The events occur simultaneously, but I'd still read the Aaron Omni first. ;)
I’ve had this Omni for nearly a year, and only just started reading it, was blown way with how good it is!

Great review. Reading volume 1 currently and it’s truly amazing. Far superior than the Charles Soule run.
