    See the blue drum u have hanging up where the cows exit the rotary, if your had that a bit higher up on a rope and pulley and if a cow won't back off you could realise the rope and tip the cow in the head with the drum and she will back off. They wil get to used to it if it is down at there level all the time

    Is it illegal in ireland to keep 2 cows per acre?

    • @MCMilkingIt
      @MCMilkingIt  Před rokem +1

      The legal limit is 170kg of organic nitrogen per hectare. Although you can get derogation to go to 250kg of organic nitrogen per hectare but this has stricter regulations. The amount of organic nitrogen per cow depends on their production

      Some cows try stay on or get back on the platform and you have to encourage them off with the hose. Sometimes you might not see them but you would know they are milked when they get to you

      I, similarly to my parents and my grandparents before them, have I drive to always learn, improve, do and be better. We have been very fortunate to come across opportunities that were in line with ours goals as individuals, a family and a business. The size of the herd now has given us the ability to hire like minded people with a passion for agriculture like ours. This has improved our work/life balance as well as given us the chance to give back and help others learn and progress to achieve their own goals.
