Jason Guzman look at that black hood spoiler at 0:08 and that paint job, you can tell right away that the van was owned by a Mexican in California in the early 90s!
Those old vans are gaining in value ! We sold a 76 Dodge Customized van for $27,000 in July.. I bought it for $4800,rebuilt the engine, interior was very clean and original with shag rugs ...The paint was majority fine,we just repaired where it needed/blended it in and you couldnt tell...Van had 230,000 on it but was always garaged and never abused ! the sad thing is, each one of these cars was someone's pride and joy at one point. I remember when my sister and her husband bought their corsica. new. didn't even have 20 miles on it when I first rode in it. it was a neat little car, rode nicely all the way to texas and back. not too many left on the road now a days. and that grand prix. every one I see in a 2 door has broken exterior handles. these cars will never be considered classics. 30 years from now, people won't remember them. people will not be restoring them. kinda like my pinto. not hardly any left on the road, but when I take it out and about, people point and smile. "remember when we had one of those?" I hear that alot. and the kids these days think it's some kind of hot rod muscle car. it's not fast, not really desirable, but a ton of fun. and full of memories.
Nope. Glad to see that piece of shit G van destroyed. Especially if it was a Choo Choo custom van. Don't really care to see the L and W body cars crushed. But this is how it works. Out with the old to make way for the new.
I sold my G Van for this exact reason. The unitized framing was weak and they always bend right behind the front main crossmember. Then it failed miserably thus allowing the front bumper to contact the crusher floor.
It had the pre 1983 emblems on the front fender. 1978-1982 model plus I believe it says 20 which would make it a 3/4 ton. It has round headlamp buckets. Your 1984 should have had Square headlights.
Wow, those graphics were in great shape. Most of these vans faded and rotted years ago. Must have been garaged . If only you could show this video to the people who bought these cars new on the day they bought the cars.
i kno :( *sigh* the owner couldve bought a rebuilt 350 for the van to keep it rroad worthy seems like the owner of the van took very goood care of the van it looks GREAT on the outside
I'd always heard Escorts were powered by lawnmower engines. I was surprised to see it was true at 3:48. Plus, what is it with Pontiacs and Wisconsin? I think every other video has a mid-90s Pontiac meeting its end. I test drove one like the car at 5:56. Decent enough, but I went with something else. Dad owned a Grand Am. Horrible paint job, as it was peeling after 5 years, but it had a surprisingly comfortable back seat for a 2-door. The engine went ka-boom after he'd owned it for awhile. Still, I liked that car.
To bad about the classic van man.Somebody could restore it or use parts of it..But I would not mind seeing any of the newer cars getting crush since they are junk to start with.
Customized vans were a big deal when I was a teenager. Everyone wanted one. I knew a guy had an extended dodge van. Real nice inside. You could comfortably live in that thing. Real long though. A bitch to parallel park. LOL
1st car, kinda sad as its got some great decals on the side but its pritty much rusted out and has been well used like they all have, 2nd car looks like someone needed a new door handle so they just cur the whole thing off! pritty much rusted out and is something 80's 3rd car, something that has been picked clean of parts, 4th car wow no one took the spoiler? things gotta be worth at least 4 bucks maybe 5 on a good day, rest of the cars just a rusty junker, 5th car looked okay unless its engine was broken or its been in a crash on the other side,
This kills me. The yard owner is always looking for more money for scrap but they throw aluminum in bundles. Frames on that van windows couldn’t be easer to remove for scrap.
My recent observation of posted vdeo. 1. On the back of the van there is a tree growing out of the back bumper at 0:05. 2.
