The great Mehdi Hassan Saab was the synonym of soft, soothing, and soulful music ! His style was pretty simple, refined, and effortless but overbearing and difficult to emulate ! What is so special with the great Khan Saab was the fact that he could render the tragic and romantic nuances of URDU couplets with equal proficiency and with the exact feel, as depicted in the kalam of the shayar ! Perhaps, that was the reason as to why the great Mehdi Hassan Saab could unleach masterpieces at regular intervals with consummate ease and remarkable success ! Besides, he had something divine in his voice ! We owe a lot to this giant of a singer for having enthralled us for several decades with soulful music which was very rich in content -- Labz, Sur, Taal, and Loy and aesthetic value ! There will never be another Mehdi Hassan ! Let us bow our head in reverence to this great legendary singer and noble soul for his impeccable track record and monumental contributions to the World Of Music ! May the departed soul rest in eternal peace !
