ADAM: "Well you tell me, what is the one quality that you possess... that makes you think that YOU can walk out here and come into the ring... and face the very best in the business?"
Ruthless Aggression *slap*
WrestleTalk you really don't like that one huh? Lol
a needle full of "confidence" and a bad haircut ha.
I just kicked Stan!
damn you adam. yo usaid there was a new ep of No Rolls Barred.... LIAR!!!!
"Mr. America somehow aces the test, because Hulk Hogan has always believed his own bullshit."
Gold.
The best

Two Face if I wasn’t already on the floor rolling in laughter that put me there
Unbelievably true and unbelievably funny.
Shawn’s Montreal promo truly is one of the greatest heel segments ever.
Durag Demigod
False. It is THE greatest heel segments of all time. I challenge you to find another that could even hold a candle to that one.
Stephen Johnson The segment where Jericho slams Shawn’s head through a TV was brilliant.
Ciampa’s initial turn on Gargano is a fuckin heartbreaker.
The Montreal Screwjob ig counts since it outed Vince as owner and biggest WWE heel ever.
It was a fantastic promo for someone who was forced to be a heel.
but it would have been better if Bret would have showed up
Johnny Skinwalker Nahhh
Hollywood Rock is the most perfect heel you'll ever witness. Had the crowd in the palm of his hands every time.
To the point you ask is he even a heel? 🤔
Malik Evans exactly thats what made it so good, because he would get wild cheers even after insulting everybody
Rock is one of those polarizing ProWrestlers who was either the TOP FACE, or TOP HEEL. Most wrestlers can only pull off one. I don't mean a Heel that can be cheered as main FACE, like Randy Orton or Edge. yeah sometimes they're cheered as the top face in the company, but you know they're always best as heels.
But ROCK, he could organically be over as TOP FACE/HEEL.
ROCK could turn Singing with the Rock as either the TOP FACE or TOP HEEL moment, as Adam mentions his "Sing along with the Rock in Sacramento" was nuclear level heel.
But if you watch Rock Sing along in Houston when he sang to Vicky Guerrerro, that was TOP face Sing along.
To turn the same segment as either face or heel showed how much of the Entertainment level ability he had.
@@malikevans2615 you can if they draw heat
Hollywood Rock was so great that The Miz’s current character is basically a ripoff of it and adds some Johnny Cage to it.
The best part about Hollywood Rock was how he would respond to crowd reactions backstage. "Hey, it's nothing! He says he knows you!" *Crowd laughs* "Don't laugh at The Rock's jokes!"
The only bad thing about Hollywood Rock’s run was that it was too short. If I’m correct, it lasted from January 2003 to April 2003 when Goldberg beat him at Backlash.
"arrest that man. He's guilty of shoving chicken mcnuggets up his ass" 😂🤣
@@joetheman8550 “Hahah Oh For God’s sake” J.R laughing then remembering he’s on the air to that was hilarious in and of itself 😂
Ah, for the days when the backstage segments weren't taped.
The Rock being in perfect sync with Lawler when he said "Kanaanites" made the segment 10x better 😂
It would have been kinda cringy if it wasn't for that accidentally brilliant moment. I completely agree.
When he mentioned one night stand I thought he was going to talked JBL beating up the blue meanie
ADAM: I'll find a way to get it into a WrestleTalk list, you see if I don't
What is this I hear about Jbl and the Blue Meanie getting into a legit tussle at One Night Stand? That’s weird JBL is usually known to be a stand up guy who is always on his best behavior. Hmm surprised the altercation hasn’t been mentioned by any major wrestling channel.
Come on, everybody knows the One Night Stand JBL story. You want to really impress us, find a way to somehow work Cannibal Holocaust into a list.
@@WrestleTalk Bonus points for mentioning Stevie's revenge on Smackdown.
@@theinvincible316 I haven't heard of that
The icing on the HBK "Who's Your Daddy, Montreal?" cake? That pink tie. Wearing Bret's colors in Montreal is such a subtle thing, but if you notice it, that's such a great little touch.
Thank you for pointing that out, that is just superb heelness right there.
The Rock selling Hurricane flying off might be the funniest goddamn image, he looks _genuinely amazed_ and it kills me. Dwayne Johnson is amazing and nobody can convince me otherwise.
Watch his feud with Punk and you can tell he'd long lost his magic. It never came back, modern Rock is such a waste.
I will say Shawn Michaels doing a Shane McMahon impression was hilarious.
Shawn kicked Stan so hard that he became Tye Dillinger.
He forgot his name and the first thing he saw when he woke up was a piece of paper with "10" written on it
I guess you could say that kick was a 10
The "Hogan believes his own bullshit" was a very nice touch!
If you listen carefully you can hear a ding because Adam is shooting straight facts.
@@ParksandPosh yep agreed hahaha😂😂😂😂.
0:37 Vince’s war on God, HLA, Hornswoggle, f**king Eugene, Katie Vick...
Me, being nostalgic:
*Teamed with Taker,*
*fought with Taker,*
*Tori warmed his baby maker,*
*learned to speak,*
*the big red freak,*
*champion for less than one whole week,*
*then his outlook got much better,*
*Royal Rumble record setter,*
*smiling patriotic loony,*
*then a goddamn Kane-aroonie,*
*Katie Vick...*
Now, we’re in 2003
Became tag champs with RVD
Then lost the titles, 1, 2, 3
Then live on RAW, at MSG
That fateful day, June 23
Kane unmasked for all to see
I can still feel those eyes burning through my soul
That's great stuff, right there.
Damn, it´s been four years man.
This is some damn good rhyming from both guys.
Adam : I struggled to find 10 funny moments in the ruthless aggression era.
Also Adam :proceeds to include 14 moments overall, with some moments missed
The Shawn in Montreal promo is possibly the best heel promo ever. I've never seen someone with the crowd any more in the palm of their hand than that. Plus that Bret pop was ungodly.
"Arrest him! He's guilty of shoving chicken mcnuggets straight up his ass!"
Yep, I agree. 2003 heel rock was the best.
I look at the Ruthless Aggression Era like Vinny Mac saying "Oh God we peaked at WrestleMania X-Seven what do we do now, I got it Trips we're going to push the envelope even more now put on this Kane mask I've got an idea"
Trips: "Oh dear God"
The feud between Hollywood Rock and The Hurricane was simply brilliant 😂
i know this has been said to death, but i am so happy you're back Adam.
I also have to add to the HBK vs Hogan heel turn when Michaels impersonated "Old Man" Hogan for a "Larry King" interview. My friend and I still quote that "Brother brother brother" Hell, the bit was so great Jakks Pacific actually made an action figure of Michaels as Hogan!
They make action of figures of nearly anything and everything WWE related, so you really can't use that as metric for success. I mean, they literally have figures some of the most obscure wrestlers/wrestling moments/gimmicks/outfits that even a hardcore fan might have a hard time remembering actually existed. I can't even imagine how many figures a super popular wrestler like Shawn Micheals has had made.
LOL, but what I really wanna know is if they ever made a Linda Mcmahon in wheelchair, from that time where she was "comatose" or one of Mae Young when she flashed everyone! LMAO!
That Larry King Parody with Michaels should've been here!
BROTHEEEERRRR!! Classic
Eh?
"Who's your Daddy, Montreal?" is still one of my favorite promos, regardless of era.
When Lillian Garcia trool Triple H by "Former WHC"
LMAO Hunter ran at her like the Tasmanian Devil and she ran like the chick from Jurassic World lol.
LMFAO I watched that the other day for the first time and rewatched it at least 10 more times, it's brilliant!
It was quite funny seeing triple h run 2
This one should have definitely been on the list.
"Vince's war on God."
The things wrestling makes you say sometimes. Lol
Honorable mention: Benoit and Cena make Heyman eat soap.
CHRISSSSSSSSSS!
Don't spit it out! Everyone knows you swallow!
Cena: no no no don’t spit it out everybody knows you swallow don’t spit it out
DX shipping The Spirit Squad back to OVW always made me chuckle.
I will always love Austin vs Booker. YOU CANNOT CHANGE MY MIND!
5:43 Did you know JBL fought the Blue meanie for real haha
I'm a simple man, I see plumpy. *I CLICK*
The funniest moment, not only in the Ruthless Aggression era, but in all of WWE history is Kurt Angle accidentally telling Rey Mysterio he likes to play sith boys. Always makes me laugh.
Why is DX impersonating Vince and Shane and taking the piss out of vince's stand back video not on here
Dx taking over raw was funny 😁
When trish was running to the ring and they just kept repeating that scene 😂
Honorable mention: Brock Lesnar coming to a ring full of mariachis wearing a sombrero
That should be number 1.
Snitsky punting the baby was hilarious.
A Bojack Horseman and Simpsons reference in one entry? This is why I glad Blampied is back.
Yay tv show references! That's where we live!
Kanenites was hilarious for two major reasons.
The first is that in a promo that stars both The Rock and Hulk Hogan, it's freakin' Kane who is the funniest and most memorable person.
The second is when The Rock AND Jerry Lawler on commentary both say "Kanenites?" AT THE THE SAME TIME, especially because Rock mouths his lines so it sounds like he's speaking with Jerry's voice, which magnifies the funny.
Kane’s “rock/hogan” promo made JR laugh on air. When you accomplish that, your career has been made.
Hollywood Rock to this day Is the best character I’ve ever seen
When Rock called the hurricane ‘ the hamburglar ‘ I spat my drink out laughing!! The way he said it was absolutely brilliant!!
The Ruthless Aggression is when I fell in love with The Hurricane. His mini feud with Hollywood Rock was fantastic stuff.
DX doing the impressions of Vince and Shane was my favorite of all time. The mannerisms were dead on especially Shawn's impression of Shane makes me laugh.
5:42 "Well here we are again,
it's always such a pleasure"
Portal 2 Credits Song reference.
I see you, Adam.
Tbh I didn’t think that was on purpose
Adam, I'm a little surprised you put Eric Bischoff's trial on this list. Especially considering he's your dad and everything.
I legit found Kanenites backstage promo hilarious. 🤣 It seriously showed the acting chops and range as a performer of the man behind the mask, Glenn Jacobs. Oh man I love it!
Austin vs Booker T is hands down my favorite. That was just pure golden gold
Head canon: Shawn is still going down hallways kicking various Stans in the face to this day
U definitely missed booker T and goldust moments
People complain about goldust now so nobody wants to bring it up. I still find it funny.
@๓๏гɭยภ ђยภՇ people like to complain that he made fun of gays and stuff because the whole world is woke now or whatever
Goldust as Darth Vader was hilarious and Booker dressed as the lumberjack
Austin vs Booker T is the grocery store was one of the funniest things ever. I remember watching it when I was younger and was in tears.
Note how most of the list are from wrestlers not even from the Ruthless Aggression Era, really goes to show how amazing they were in longevity and staying fresh throughout the years.
#9 I guess my username has been spelt wrong for the last 8 years.
@TakerKaneanite619 Welllll
anyone who saw your username could have told you that doesn't even read proper.
I wrote a comment about that a few minutes ago and admittedly I had to double check the video to see how it was spelt
DX imitating the macmahons was absolutely, tear-up while laughing hilarious. What're on about?
Gotta love the wokeness
The "Who's your daddy Montreal" promo is the best promo of the Ruthless Aggression Era... (02-08)
this makes me want to see Hollywood Rock vs Tribal Chief Reigns so badly
That leaving Sacramento promo hits even deeper if you’re an nba fan and realizing that this wasn’t too long after the eastern conference finals where the Kings were screwed by the refs costing them a shot at the Finals. Love that
Kurt Angle refusing to come to the ring because the crowd keeps chanting "You Suck" is another gem.
"because Hulk Hogan has always believed his own bullshit" LMFAO bruh LOL I died there
God I love Shawn's Montreal promo, that crowd is ready to tear him apart and he has them in the palm of his hands, especially when that music kicks in and he sells like a man who's just seen Death pointing at him while holding an empty hourglass. It's an absolute masterpiece and while I can think of some promos that are more significant in terms of their impact on the industry (Austin's "3:16" promo, the pipe bomb, etc...) I honestly can't think of any that get such a massive reaction from the crowd than that one, it's just perfection.
You got me on the last entry. That was like a secret bonus level of a video game.
Shane Helms is Foley levels of pleasant and hilarious.
Rock also sold a Hurrican chokeslam like it came from Andre the Giant did the Fusion Dance with an already-fused Kane/Undertaker.
I feel like he went to therapy or something, because he came off so much more at ease and secure with himself in that 2003 run.
The Rock concert, so funny that even Steve Austin had to roll up his window because he was laughing too much.
There's a lot of humor in the Cena/Punk era. Hope you guys make a list of it one day
A Small one from me but it's special in the fact it got me into wrestling because I laughed so hard at it: The Big Show and Kane were fueding with Carlito and Chris Masters. During the feud Carlito and Chris Masters locked Kane in a supply closet, and blocked it with a barricade. Big Show spends a long time pushing the forklift when out comes Kane from behind "Need some help?" turns out...the idiots forgot there was a back door.
I will admit there are funnier moments in this era but that moment is sentimental to me
4 words, and Shawn has an entire arena eating out the palm of his hands, its amazing
Bruh the supermarket beatdown was gold. Still cracks me up when I see it.
The best part of Kanenites is rock mining the word and lawler saying it at the same time, the timing is absolutely perfect and not even meant
"See? I just kicked Stan!"
Classic 😂🤣
THANKS ADAM!! PLEASE CONTINUE THIS!
Kaneites was the hardest I laughed at while watching WWE. Rock mouthing it was so good. Also I call everyone cool cats cus of the Rock.
Rock Hurricane is the BEST fued ever so brilliant and hilarious
"ARREST HIS ASS! HE'S GUILTY OF SHOVING CHICKEN MCNUGGETS STRAIGHT UP HIS AAASS" -Rock Concert
When JR laughs in commentary that's when you know you got comedy gold.
"Got your hopes up JUST A LITTLE BIT, didn't I?!" The best
My favourite was that "Stan" segment, HBK went total bollocks on that one. Still kills me of laughter till this day😂😂😂
When DX cosplayed and Vince & Shane will always be my favorite
Don't wanna be that guy but did anyone else's eyebrows raise when he said March 2002 was still Attitude Era?
Attitude Era (barely) carried on till WM 18 I believe …
No, because we all heard the whole phrase, and can understand context.
mine didnt because it depends who you ask, wwe i assume would say it ended in march 02, that's when they apparently stopped using the attitude branding anyway. for me it ended in with wm17, for what little thats worth
@@Endspiel81 this is the first time I've heard any debate about when it ended. I also thought it ended at wm17. that period between X-7 and 6/24/02, when Vince first cut the "Ruthless Aggression" promo on Raw, I didn't think really belonged to a certain era. If you wanted to name it, I guess "the invasion/post-invasion" era? I've heard debates about when it started. I could be wrong but it's just the first I've ever heard of any debate about when it ended is all
@@LFPS0311 I heard the whole phrase. "On the March 28th episode of SmackDown which is still technically the Attitude Era, but f--- off, no it isn't." That's where my eyebrows raised and clearly there are people who agree. I'm not critiquing. I'm just genuinely confused because I've never heard of that period considered the Attitude Era. I've always operated under the impression that the period between X-7 and June '02 when Vince cut the Ruthless Aggression promo did not fall under the Attitude or Ruthless Aggression Era. It was a weird period where the company was in flux and trying to find its identity again during the Invasion and post Invasion storyline
Unpopular opinion:
Ruthless Aggression Era >>> Attitude Era
Mainly because I'm 19 and I grew up in the Ruthless Aggression Era, plus the match quality was much better, and the attitude era was mainly filled with great segments/character work rather than top notch wrestling like the Ruthless Aggression Era had.
And the Aggression Era had Benoit and Eddie
the segments with willlam regal wants to go on the loo and then pisses green piss on big show are pure gold
My personal favourite era in WWE.
To me it was the best era, had the best matches, violence and it had the pure in your face ultimate fight feel atmosphere to it I loved it particularly 2002 to 2006
Adam being PC. Shock of the decade
That Austin/ Booker grocery store fight was more attitude era than Ruthless aggression
I remember watching the supermarket brawl thinking to myself "is it racist to beat a black guy with a sweet potato?"
I know it's been 4 years, but the real punchline to the Supermarket Brawl isn't Austin yelling "price check on a jackass"; it's Booker T laying in front of the cash register, covered in flour and in excrucianting pain whimpering "I'mma get ya".
Adam has always been awesome, but his BoJack Horseman shout out will make me love him forever. That man is the master and commander of my heart 😍
8:10 "The Haunting of Booker T" Lmfao
Adam, your top ten lists are glorious, thank you.
Shawn in Montreal was the first wrestling segment i'd ever seen just flipping channels at like 6 years old. Immediately hooked me in, that man is legendary
Paul Heyman's best promo is "You stole my ideas, YOU STOLE MY LIFE" promo on Vince.
Michaels' 2005 Montreal promo is the most unbelievable heat I have ever heard in WWE.
Kane made JR laugh with that “Kanenites” promo. That deserves the #1 spot lol.
I spat out ny juice when he said grandpa death matches 😂😂
Holy shit Adam's back must hurt like hell after carrying this channel into relevance.
I'm a simple man though, I see Blampied, I subscribe.
Honourable mention: Christian's Diss promos of John Cena
I always go back and search out these matches and promos that Adam talks about. Makes me remember why I love wrestling and Adam's jokes and references hit another level
He's a snowflake, complaining about "transphobia" in wrestling
@@bobbinsthethird god you sound like a bitter old man
Okay, yes. Ruthless Aggression was a strange time for comedy. But can we all admit the work rate when it came to the wrestling was world class
Another great line from that Shawn Canada promo " nice language do you teach your children that? "
“PRICE CHECK ON A JACKASS!”
Mike Knox's burial is GOLD.
The Kane, Hogan and Rock segment is gold. You get to see just how huge Kane is and when allowed to have personality, he can get a great crowd reaction.
Goldust getting shocked, then having that stuttering thing was completely gold, I laughed so hard!
Oh man that Kane promo was awesome funny as hell man forgot about mike for a bit
Shawn’s face at 13:58 kills me every time 😂He knew he had them in the palm of his hand! 🤣
