I agree. I was told as a young kid, no matter how much physical talent you have, have a plan B, stay humble, and know that any moment can be your last, when it comes to sports. I'm glad I listened, because the physical beating you take from multiple athletes tackling you comes @ price on one's health.
He has the physical attributes, but does he have the right mindset? What happens when he faces adversity? When he faces failure?
Some will ask, "Why you hating on this kid?" That's not what I'm doing at all. The future is unwritten, I wish him a bright and successful future, but like anyone who faces failure, conquering that adversity and learning to overcome it is more character building than pure success. Succes makes you complacent, makes you believe you are super human, until someone or something brings you back to reality.
Even from the great Jerry Rice himself, no matter how hard he trained, and good he played, he still never achieved "perfection". Never achieved what he believed to be his "perfect game". Because nobody is perfect, and we all have room for improvement.
