- Winter warriors, rejoice! ❄️ We're back and stoke levels are off the charts as the 2023-2024 snow season explodes onto the scene. Fresh and man made snow blankets the slope, and we're already snowdancing in the backyard, hoping Ullr hears our pleas for more!
Our home mountain, Bogus Basin in Boise, Idaho, set the stoke meter ablaze with a ceremonious one-run opening. Sure, it was just the baby lift and bunny slope, but who cares about length or difficulty when the season's first snowflakes tickle your face? All that matters is sharing the joy with fellow snow enthusiasts and carving our first turns of the season.
This video chronicles our full first day on the mountain. Witness the raw excitement as we dust off the summer rust and prepare our bodies for another season of maximizing snow time. Over the past two years, we've logged an impressive 60 and 64 days on the slopes, but this season, we're aiming to break both records and take our passion to new heights! Here's to our "Search For 100 Days Shredding!"
But the fun doesn't stop at the bottom of the run. Each day, we engage in a post-shred ritual - a Peaks & Valleys game. Whether it's in the car, devouring fries in the lodge, or over a cozy dinner, we relive the day's highlights and lowlights. Sharing our "peaks" - the moments that fueled our stoke - and our "valleys" - the challenges that tested us - helps us set intentions for the next day, learn from setbacks, and amplify the positive.
Join us on this epic journey as we chase powder, conquer challenges, and embrace the exhilarating highs and lows of a snow-filled season. Buckle up, snow bunnies, the ride is just beginning!

I enjoy the other seasons content, but by far, my favorite content is seeing your family on the snow, especially Cashy, obviously! I love how you recap with the peaks and the valleys of how the day went for each of you. Would love to see more of that. Excellent way to take stock of the day’s happenings and be able to see how to improve for the next day. I know that the first few days, you all are just getting your snowboarding feet back under you again, after that and once the other runs open up, can’t wait to see what lays in store and the improvements that your precious daughter will be making. Nick, hope your knee is good to go and has healed sufficiently….you’re going to “need be on your toes”, if last year was anything to go by! Welcome back to the snow “journaling”!

She is so well-rounded. Total bad@ss that knows her abilities are advanced for her age, yet doesn't have a superiority complex that skilled/gifted kids oftentimes acquire. Also, I love that she openly, unabashedly seeks and asks for affection.

I dread when her little voice will eventually go away as she gets older. It is so sweet and hearing singing and talking to herself just melts my Grandma ❤. But I am also looking forward to seeing her grow into a well-rounded young lady and an amazing athlete.

i’ve been following here & TT for a very long time. First i’m so glad Cashy’s dads knee is feeling good again i know that wasn’t easy. being down when you’re active sucks. next, Cashy…my little virtual niece…oh how far you’ve come and watching you always reminds me of how much farther you’ll go! the ballerina spins brought back some cute memories and gave me smiles this morning!

I learned to ski on Bogus Basin the winter of 2016/2017. It was my first winter and my first experience with snow! 😅 The Coach hill is my favorite run to practice. In fact, it’s still the only run I feel brave on. I am 52 this winter and one day soon I’ll be as brave as you, Cashy! 💗

My peak was a new Casey video. My valley was waking up to my dog singing the song of her people before five o'clock because of the tornado warning.

As a midwesterner who now lives in Colorado I would love to try skiing or SB but.....DAMN....them lifts are high up. And they SWING!!! Funny I will ride any roller coaster but them big ferris wheels scare the crap out of me. I will stick to water skiing....one can stay on the ground more or less...LOL
At 65 I am glad to see our world will be in pretty good hand by the time I am in a nursing home. This little one and others like "ChickenRicky" are showing that there are some REALLY good parents out there and REALLY bright kids. As long as we don't totally wreck things I believe the world will be a pretty good place in 20-30 years.
I haven't skied in years because of finances, but when I did I white-knuckled every lift ride up, and boy did I get pissed when I would get some asshole next to me who would swing the chair. I have to tell you the ride down the hill was so worth it!

Okay, this is for all the parents, teachers and school psychologists and school social workers out there. Let's take non money bets for when Tutu Giggles ditches the tutu. I've got the beginning of ski season (Nov.) in fourth grade.
All bets are off if Cash is home schooled.
Nope, the tutus are a signature. they'll last longer. I'm betting near high school, and maybe occasionally after.
Not betting on it. She will take them off when SHE is good a ready to do so. Right now she feels like they make her stronger and faster.
BTW, Cash IS homeschooled!
In healthy schools that take bullying seriously, Cashy wouldn't feel pressured to ditch the tutu.
In the 90s, I had students who started as the only one wearing a Madonna skirt.... and by 4th grade, even some of the boys were joining in.
Those kids are awesome parents now.

i was watching lots of ur vids. most of them were from "10-11 months ago" - made me wonder where are u now. it was only yesterday that i realized that thia might be an annual thing, and here you are this time.
btw if ur aim is using yt as a fun only (i.e. not as a dependent src of income) then i appreciate that u didnt do repeated posts of clippings from same vid.
The snow only falls from December to April so that is where we will post new snowboarding videos but we do love to post the throwback to see just how far she has come in her journey.

Is that no security on the lift to prevent from falling off?
Most older lifts don't have a drop bar. This will happen on a lot of smaller resorts as they don't get enough traffic to put in the big new lifts. Bogus has mostly new lifts but they still have a few old lifts around the mountain.

What strategic you use to protect Cash on the slopes, traffic and aggressive riders?
We would shield her in the early days of one parents down slope and the other upslope from her. Now she rides so good it’s hard to fully protect her like that and mostly just rely on her skills to help keep her safe
@@RowleyAdventures y'all have done an excellent job helping Cashy take responsibility for being mindful of her surroundings.
She's so much more aware at 6 than a lot of adults!
Love this long format, especially taking the time to model for other parents (and people in general) what healthy reflection looks like.
People can't know what they have never been exposed to, and while most people strive to parent better than their parents, it's hard to make that happen with so few role models.
