I think you didn't do the ground work, and took an arbitrary figure of production cost and Yield.
The reality is different, and current rate is between Rs. 3150 to 3300 per 40 kg. And on each acre farmers got Rs. 98,000 net profit, if sold at Rs. 3,900/mann.
However, with average price the profits arw much low right now.
Don't instigate farmers to raise the price above Rs. 3,900 per mann. Because, with rise of price wheat flour will be Rs. 300+ per kg to those who earned money and pay taxes; especially the labor cadre will face the music.
Instead, tell farmers to evaluate the real price of crops at the stage of planning. And make 70% price of what price is expected from government..And if at 70% of that price you attain the profit on wheat crop then go for it. Otherwise, select a crop that returns good profits.
On the other hand the mafia of fertilizers should be monitored by govt and keep the prices in-line with Indian Market prices to make our crop competetive in International Market.
