Thanks to Anomaly I came back to the zone after 12 years. started in the rookie village with this track playing in the background, while a rain and lighting storm just hammed it down...
It felt as if the zone was welcoming back an old friend...

I was walking with my squad of Stalkers through Wild Territory west of Rostok with this track, the feeling of isolation and brooding tension was 100% more immersing than any AAA games out there today. And the thought that at any moment a shootout with mercenaries or bandits can break out or a mutant can jump you behind every corner adds the perfect touch.
Very atmospheric for this mod. I don't know why, but when I listen to it, I'm reminded of an accident from 1986.

I've played the og vanilla, two versions of Stalker Complete, Lost Alpha and now finally this (gamma and Stalker 2 next ofc). This game is a timeless masterpiece. Definitely in my top 10 gaming experiences.
Starting with the bandits and hearing this on wild territory was a 11/10 experience
Hearing this on Yantar scientist's bunker(I play as an ecologyst) with rain on the background was also cool.

I was sweeping Wild Territory with my squad after an emission hunting for artifacts. I usually avoid that place since it's crawling with mercs, bloodsuckers and other nasties, but I wanted to take the chance. I'm walking up to the train station in the middle of the map with this track playing in the background and the last lights of the afternoon creating the perfect ambient. I suddenly freeze as the shape of a Chimera appears past the nearest corner, rearing its ugly heads in my direction. It starts sprinting at me, I have but seconds before it makes it's famous (and lethal) leap attack, there's no time to switch to my Protecta so I just spray it full of lead from the hip with my AEK-971, partially closing my eyes and expecting a game over screen. The Chimera leaps a couple of meters forwards but falls to the ground, ragdolling and rolling up to my feet. No artifacts that day, but one hell of a trophy to brag about back at the bar.
