The sequencing here captures the kind of magic that occasionally happened on this show. Greg opens with a savagely accurate roast of Colin’s frustrations with this particular game. Phil piles on with a rather tepid but more sporting dig. Then Colin gets to fire back with some biting sarcasm, self-deprecating humor, and the cleverest joke in the whole hoedown. Finally, Ryan steps up with some love for his friend and a counter-roast that everyone gets to join in on to close it out. It is truly the Perfect Hoedown.

My Colin Hoedown: I watch "Whose Line" every single day, When it comes to comedy there's not much else to say. Whose Line is the very best show to me, It's all because a bald guy named Colin Mochrie.

Colin and Ryan were stars for years on the UK version which took place BEFORE the US version. That's when Colin introduced his dino walk and falling during a hoedown. This episode is from the final season of the UK version, a year before the US version began.
Fun fact: the 2nd guy in line is Phil LaMarr who you may recognize as (amongst countless other things) Marvin from Pulp Fiction and the voices of Hermes Conrad from Futurama, Static from Static Shock and Samurai Jack from Samurai Jack! Incredibly talented man!
