How to clean an air conditioner

1. Make sure it is technically possible to provide free access to the evaporator. You can get to the evaporator from under the hood, but first you need to remove the cabin air filter. Some cars allow you to access the air conditioning directly from the cabin. To do this, dismantle the glove compartment and remove the already mentioned filter. The climate system can also be cleaned through a drain pipe through which condensate is drained. (my case)
2. The evaporator needs to be dried. Warm up the engine and turn on the airflow and heater temperature to maximum, about 2 minutes.
3. The temperature regulator is moved to the middle position, using an adapter probe, the drug is sprayed onto the evaporator (in my case, into the drainage tube). We place the container under the drainage tube.
4. Spray three quarters, turn off the engine, spray the remainder into the deflectors and where the cabin filter was.
4. One more point - since cleaning the air conditioner is done in various ways. The simplest one is “Completely fill the deflectors with foam.”
5. Turn on the air conditioner, temperature to minimum, airflow to maximum, recirculation, close windows and doors. We wait from 10-30 minutes (depending on the product).
5. Dry the evaporator again. Turn on the heater to maximum (10-30 minutes).
6. Turn everything off and ventilate. Don’t forget to remove the container from under the drainage hole.
7. Install a new cabin filter.
