Kinda hate how Warzone caused everything to get "warzone-ified". Even the campaign is half warzone "open world" missions. Happy for everyone who will enjoy it. Just putting in my two cents.
Warzone ruined what call of duty was. Completely killed it. I’m so thankful for Cold War being the only “normal” cod during the warzone era shame it’s old.

If they give us the option to go in solo with no time limit, this will be my fave zombies of all time. I work a hard ass job and when im not going out with homies on weekends, I like to sit down and slowly explore a world. Not run around frantically for close to an hour getting essentially small bites of food every hours.
Exactly!! The time limit sucks. How are we supposed to build our weapons and go to the harder levels? There is not enough time to actually enjoy the game.
100% agree. I really like this version but the time limit hurts it so much. The map is so big that I spend most of the time running and even objectives takes time. It makes the game feel so formulaic, like I have to play a prep game where I go in specifically to exfil out pap upgrades or rarity upgrades and perks just so my next run goes faster.
Zombies has always been high risk high reward and the timer kills that imo
You can play solo
Disagree. If you want to explore an open world freely go play an mmo. The timer means you have to be fast, precise, and think about your run. Take all the time in the world in the lobby to plan out your objectives and what you want too achieve. The timer gives it a more frantic feel to it, which is exactly how a zombie outbreak should feel. Let's be honest 45 minutes before the spread and a further 15 minutes should be ample time for you to do what you need to do
@aaronsheard8858 That's fine if that is one of 2 options. But I think that the majority people want to explore the zombie world. They don't want to run around as fast as they can just to open chests and pretty much just ignore zombies just to do particular missions.
A friendly reminder to everyone completing objectives, just like in Outbreak and Crapguard’s failed zombies experiment, if you have a double points active when completing the objectives, it will DOUBLE the amount of essence rewarded for completion. If you get lucky with your drops and time things right, you can easily get a jumpstart in looting and gearing up.

I miss round based story Easter egg style especially the og crew. Glad to see zombies but growing up since world at war and from there round based style was amazing
when will they understand that that is what the community wants
This isn't a treyarch game they just helped if you want round based you're gonna have to wait till next cod. Just be happy they gave us something to hold us over. People shouldn't have such high expectations for something that was just an experiment. It's not that bad helps you get better at concepts of dmz without people sniping you will the time. I've played both and it's still a good way to level up a gun you don't normally use.

I hope they add small zombie maps , it’s kind of overwhelming and I always felt unpowered in the 5-6 games I played of this.
Well Vanguard proves that it can be done, so I guess it isn't completely out of the question.
Problem is people want instant progression and rewards, enjoy the grind and the game you paid for.
Essentially, zombies is the only mode they actually put the most work into seemingly.

I loaded up a few games of zombies and I’m absolutely lost on what the main purpose or objective is. Im not saying there idea is bad at all cause I love creativity but atleast throw the classic round based maps in there for those who wanna do that.

In theory, it sounds great. but unfortunately, it doesn't give you enough time to do all of that stuff, then fight the harder level zombies. By the time you are ready, the timer is up.

I think that’s the point of exfilling with all your gear. You should be able to load in with peak gear and get right to the end game objectives. I could be wrong though. I just got the game last night.
@@dancphotog4393 when you exfil with the gear, pack a punched or rarity of the weapons dont stay. You need to complete the contracts all over again to pack a punch. And i belive the sodas you consumed dont stay too.

6:39 Yes, you can only pack-a-punch once in the tier 1 area. But you can pack-a-punch more than once in tier 2 and 3. So you can save up like 15k, go to tier 2 and pack-a-punch twice, you don’t have to do it once in tier 1 and then once in tier 2

What I hate the most about zombies is it’s time limited now and I just want to enjoy it but having to extract is an annoyance, maybe someday they will double the time or give an endless mode you can explore and just grind without the need to rush progression👌
I totally agree! They need to remove the time limit ASAP! It ruins the whole game mode!
It doesn't really give you enough time to gear up enough for zone 3. Since you don't start with your previous run's lvl 3 pack a punch and a jugg, maybe speed cola and stamin-up so you have enough survivability. All the stuff you need is spread randomly across the map so you have to travel all over the place to get it all while still getting enough essence to afford it. And stupidly, you have to worry about all that stuff from scratch at the start of every round, giving you zero time to explore the red zone because by the time you reacquire it all, the match is pretty much over. And cool down on crafting being 3 effing hours, just pointless.
@@RedceLL1978put 6 hours into zombies over the weekend and I’m yet to step foot in the tier 3 area. By the time I’ve got perks and packed weapons there’s under 10 minutes left and I need to go exfil. So dumb.
@@Jack-he5zp after the initial timer goes to 0 you have an additional 15 mins while the storm grows. I agree we need more time though

I'm an o.g. zombies player since WAW. I miss the round based maps but I do feel this is an upgrade to the outbreak mode that was on Cold war
Downgrade IMO. Forced online, really bad point system, no incentive to get to the very end.
This is way way better then the round based maps.

One of the best things about MWZ, no DMZ sweaty squad hunters. Ive really enjoyed this mode so far, didn't think they could improve on CW's Outbreak but they did 👍

Luckily it wont matter till youre down to the last few because about half the guns will naturally spawn as ground loot plus the mystery box. of course no or few attachments but there was work benches to add/customize ground guns in dmz so hopefully its in mwz.
Surely there will be different modes/maps coming where camo grind will go faster

I managed to kill one of the mega abominations solo by camping on a roof and he dropped a wunderwaffe but was sad to find out it only turned in 1000 xp after exfil

I actually find this zombies to be incredibly easy. The hoards aren’t too big and upgrading weapons is easy enough. Ammo is plentiful and so are plates. It’s fun and pretty casual.

I thought it was a breath of fresh air for the new style. In a way, it feels like a campaign style of play except you're not restricted on where you go. You are only restricted by time. If they removed the time limit, it would feel more free.

This was a money grab, exactly what they wanted. Gangle zombies out there on a stick in everybodies face and then just revamp dmz a little with a few items and some zombies and guns and boom collect the check and run to the bank, little money invested and pure laziness, it worked though. Kinda screams class action to me but we'll see. Glad I didnt buy it
In my opinion I wish they had upgrades to perks and field upgrade like in Cold war to make players want to play more

This is the Zombies game mode I wanted when I first played DMZ, I’ve been playing Zombies since World at War and when I first played DMZ I said “It would be crazy af if they gave us this Map (Al Mazrah) and just added zombies like they did Outbreak (Cold War Zombies) now here we are and I like it, round based zombies has always been amazing but as a CoD Zombies Vet I can truly say we needed a change

You can also glitch the abomination to go into the river and it’ll just chill there at the bottom without attacking and you can shoot the heads my team and I were just on a boat in the river spraying at it seeing what we could do and one of my teammates decided to go up to it and then it just lunged at me while I was still on the boat and just sank 😂
This is why this game reviews are great, it’s good to be able to make an informed decision before buying any game even if it looks really cool they might not be what you think they really are!

The packapunch works based on the area you're in. Zone 1 only allows up to 1 packapunch.. zone 2, allows 2 packapunch on weapons, and zone 3 allows 3 packapunch on weapons. it's not one per zone.
It technically is 1 per zone as in youre allowed to pack to that zones respective level.
@jonathanwilson1539 yes while you're not wrong, but I'm telling you it's based on the zones, ive gone into zone 2 and packed the weapon on the same machine twice in the same game
Zone 1 is 1, zone 2 allows 2, and zone 3 allows 3.

It's currently ass, the mercs are just as hard as the ones in dmz. Their do good plus the zombies spawn out the ground so nah its a Lil rough rn
Where’s the replay appeal? Just progression in terms of finding better weapons? What’s the long term goal? High rounds have always been the achievement. How do you measure completion or progress? Is there a comparable metric?
No nothing. I feel like they should add rounds and starting at round 10 the zones that determine difficulty start to expand outward further expanding every 10 rounds.
Pointless- What made DMZ cool was unpredictability… This has all the dmz missions and mechanics with no immersion or replay ability imo

I will admit that this zombies is fun. It’s not the old zombies but this is a good time especially when you got 2 buddies with you. I haven’t ran into any griefers online either. Some guys actually came by to help us out with a couple missions or picked us up when we were down. We also returned the favor to some downed guys. Overall, it’s a fun time but I can’t wait for the next Treyarch zombies.

This video definitely helped, I mainly play solo though I do wish you mentioned that if you exhale with extra self revise or armor. You don't get to keep them for other operators.

So if u obtain a wonder weapon schematic for example raygun.. u can take the raygun with you every 8 hours ? Or only once after you craft it ?
If you've obtained the raygun or any other schematic it's permanent with the caveat of a 8 hour cooldown per usage
Unfortunately, you do lose all wonder weapons upon exfil so probably save it when you wanna rush tier 3 at start of match

I was going to get mw3 hoping zombies gonna do it justice but now they basically just DMZ with zombies. That’s kind of a letdown. people paying $70 for a $30 game with like 80% reused content

Do I need to be worried about the other people that spawn into the game (not in my squad)? I don’t think you mentioned that, unless I just keep missing it. It would turn me away if I’m getting killed by players and not zombies
No. All human players are on the same team. The game does have AI mercenaries though so they'll shoot you. But real players can't. It's all v the zombies!

Quick question. Since we can only load in with 3 guys how do we play with our other friends? Say we have 3 more friends who also want to play.. Do they load into the same lobby?

I actually like this mode for the people who haven't played it and are just shitting on it definitely give it a try. Its actually pretty fun

If you drop the weapon you want to swap before grabbing the box weapon you can grab your weapon back if you don’t like the box weapon

The cold war zombie got me hooked up to Zombie mode, never tried before, but this DMZ replica feel overwhelming even for me that played DMZ a lot, Imma try and see
