This is by far the best performance of this famous song. To sing this tune one needs to convey the magic of staying humble while ASKING for that one moment in time. The rest of the performers who tried, including great otherwise Whitney kept forgetting that showing off their vocal tricks of the trade in this song is counterproductive - it takes AWAY from the magic this song has in itself. Dana grasped the correct balance of clear voice, hence clear message - it is a prayer! She really ASKED for that one moment, without showing off… this is how you ASK… and how you pray… And the result? Well, her prayer has been answered, this song in her arrangement has become a superhit of all time! Bravo! See… to sing magic a great voice might be not enough, there must be a soul there that feels and means every word… and it has to become one…
