Gateaway is good as art, as something you can admire, but Spiro... it's for life. Not as beautiful, but simple and cozy, nice to come back to, just as great as a game map.
I literally did the exact same thing around 3 weeks ago, sad we didn’t come across! As a matter of fact every server had 0 people. I was just doing it for the nostalgia, but a companion would have been fun.
I’ve heard the soundtrack you heard at port, just never in-game, just heard the soundtrack on CZcams. I never even found the port in-game lol. Also I don’t think I ever drank at that spot at delta either (I forgot what the “delta” on Spiro even was if I ever knew lol), I never really explored a lot of Spiro at all, I don’t know why it just felt like I’d get lost easy 🤣 I think if people did it wouldn’t have been as bad as it was
it was lacking a lot in my opinion, it had much potential but it was built for deino. gateway is an even distribution i think as far as a map goes gateway is much better!
i partially think your right, if spiro was improved on it could’ve became a really really good map but i’m my personal opinion gateway is leagues better as far as an actual map goes
Spiro was awesome. It felt more.... connected. Gateway feels more open, vast.. and I think it worked well. Makes ya hunt more instead of just sitting in a spot knowing food will arrive (although that's been exploited ahem east plains LOL)

yea was thinking the same, would’ve loved to have someone to relive the nostalgia with!
Gateway would suck less if it had some open plains or better woods/forest areas.

u must go into unofficial for servers to show although, there is very little of them and no one online

yea that audio queue scared me a bit lol, and i agree i think spiro couldve been a lot better if the rest of the map was being explored by people!
not gonna lie man, i really miss isla spiro. In my opinion the map was way better then Gateway, especially for Deinosuchusses
