Thank you, Diarmuid 😊 I’ve always loved your beautiful gardens and the passion you have for plants; you’ve inspired me to be brave and try different things. Although it wasn’t always so! I have wonderful memories of you trying to engage/talk about gardening even before you were famous - at one garden show a man kept approaching me to talk about plants I was looking at and I became a little unnerved why this stranger kept wanting to talk about plants/ask about my garden. Little did I know you were just trying to do your job! My nephew, who was 7yrs, knew who you were even then and rushed off into the show to find you. He and his brother rushed back with shining eyes saying “Diarmuid spoke to us!!” when asked what you’d said they replied “EXCUSE ME!!!” 🤣 That to me was the exact time you became ‘famous’ 😊. I’ve loved your books, and so it’s lovely to see and share your own lovely garden. Thank you for inspiring people over the years and it’s lovely to see you here.

What a beautiful video and message. Absolutely enchanting! I love how you had the guts to remove walls from your house to add more layers to your garden. Stunning!

Diarmuid's a guy i'd love to have a beer with. He seems like loads of fun and not short of an idea or two.

Beautfiul garden and I loved hearing about your perspective on the Chelsea Garden show. Hey, I have a viburnum tinus the same height and width as yours, but fully clothed with leaves and branches to the ground, as yours once was. Now I will rush out in the morning and think about creating a parasol effect by stripping off the lower half's branches, just as you did. :)
