He needs some rough playing to blow off some energy. Gentle as always.

@CloseUpLover Nah not really, she was a tease, always walked close enough to irritate Tor and when he started chasing her she just run off, then came back doing the same. He got her fur once, a big mouth full, then she stopped🤣🤣

We got him from the breeder when he was about 6-10days old so we bottle raised him.

Badgers are no more scary than big Deers. Try go to a wild Deer and pet it, a Deer can easilly kill you, a Badger cant.

Now during hibernation he does not do anything.
Otherwise he uses a corner where it is extra bedding that we clean out everyday. Badgers use the same latrines every day.

He does not eat and rarely drink during about 3 months hobernation so not much to åoop or pee.
He loses about 40-50% of hos bodyweight.
No need to train him on a box. He never pee or poop in our house.

I raised a Badger from 3 weeks old to adult she was raised with our 4 Yorkies and 2 cats. Once she was old enough we found a rehab facility that only took care of badgers! So we sadly let her go but she had a better life with her new home and 12 other badgers! I’m a licensed state and federal rehabilitation individual specializing in Birds of Prey however the fish and wildlife department brought me everything North America has to offer! Badgers are very special animals I miss her! Ty for sharing ❤

What an unusual & fascinating animal. At first I thought the owner was being a little unnecessarily rough, then Irealised its such a strong/robust animal thats how it would be with other badgers.

@@Torthetamebadger Dogs have been domesticated (from wolves) over thousands of years. It has resulted in changes to their DNA. The same cannot be said for a badger that was born in captivity.

I never said anything about domestication. I said he is no more wild than dogs or any other animal born in captivity.

Many years ago there was a guy that use to rescue badgers. He had o e that he had rescued as a cub . That use to roam around his cottage. His name was Eric Ashby he lived in the new forest England. I knew as he was the neighbour to a lady I use to work for . I still remember that badger lol

me too I got the same badger tattood on my right forearm. Love the so much tough, cute, and compassionate. The mothers sometimes adopt orphaned foxes and let them come and be part of the family. They also make very elaborate homes underground called sets and they are very clean and they go like 40 metres down a tunnel and they poop way far away from where they sleep and eat. They also sometimes bury cows in dirt😀

They aren't pack animals like a dog but their presentation is so dog-like. It's amazing that a solitary animal can be so tame. They must be very intelligent. Also they are much cuter and probably smell better.
Its not true, they live in large familly groups. Dens can be extremely large with many Badgers.
