The lead triangle may be an early star trek badge, maybe Kirk went further back in time 😂
Haha,love your imagination
Yes, it is likely an early Star Trek badge. But due to its diminutive size, it obviously belonged to a baby. 👶🏻
i thought id say that and be clever. you beat me to it
Hello, maybe your triangular lead object was a children's toy made of lead. It looks like an old iron. Here in Germany I find toys made of lead relatively often in the fields. Little soldiers, animals and so on. I wish you continued success on your treasure hunt 🙂
Absolutely! That "sprue" is the bent over handle.
😊
My Friday gets off to a great start when I see Brad's video is posted! Happy adventuring people! Best channel in this genre! ❤
The Baby spoon may have had the handle bent into a loose loop where the wider parts are. Many baby spoons had a looped handle to make it easier to hold.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm sure you are correct.
The baby spoon handle actually curved around underneath so that the handle formed a loop with a little recurve tail under the bowl. It was actually a baby feeder. The narrow part of the hourglass shape was for your finger joint to hook into it.
Yes! I wrote in about the same thing. Some how I remember a spoon like that in the early 50’s although Brad’s find is much older!
I really appreciate how much you seem to love telling the story and history of the people of Vermont. And your sense of humor. Great finds!!
I'm fascinated by Brads finds. Got a detector for my 75th birthday this year. Just around our 1756 hotel turned to 3 apartments I found an old brass plumbing fitting , pottery shred, and some newer aluminum trim.
I've never seen him find a shoe buckle that cool and unbroken. That guy must've really been sad to lose it i'm sure. To top of it off with that incredible bell that still rings! Incredible, thanks!
Great video Brad as always. You and the Scottish Detectorist give wonderful history lessons.
For the Baby spoon the handle would have been bent so that the two wider parts would be adjacent to each other.
It would have been a spoon for a toddler whose hand would easily fit in the opening in the handle.
Those are my two metal detector channels, too. Love the history and glimpses of times long ago.
That suspender buckle you found was also used in the 1900 til probably til the 1960 s for women’s nylons & brown wool stockings
We had clips on rubber boots that looked like that in the sixties. There were a couple of other parts and they kept the boots closed so that water had a harder time getting n.
Someone probably already commented on the baby spoon . But I believe the handle was meant to be bent in a loop. The mother could put a finger through the loop for a better grip. Anyway, have seen that type before.
Sweet relics !!!! That baby spoon handle would of been bent over into a loop for the finger to go into :)
Awesome hunt! You found the Bennington triangle 😂
Toy iron maybe? I think greg on finding America found one recently that wasn't bent over. Yours appears to be slightly larger. Cool hunt!
Brad, your the best. I"m 72 yrs young and have watched you forever. I can't wait every time you come on. God Bless you stay safe and take care, Vern in Va. aka flea
Keep on keeping on, flea 🙂
My heart sank for the person who lost their brooch. I know that feeling. What a wonderful group of treasures you found today. Thank you!
Wow, Brad. The blanket of colorful leaves and the shuffling, crunchy sounds ...so autumnal. Love all the finds especially the baby spoon...made me teary-eyed. Just think, a mother had fed her beloved child with that spoon so long ago...
The buckle is the equivalent of a gold coin relic wise. You can see the same design that man stared at every morning for a few brief seconds while he is putting on his boots to start the day. Very intimate
Every Friday morning my wife & I have our coffee & watch your video at our kitchen table. Looking forward to the next.
I love your positivity! Just finished my Friday night late dinner...with no one but you.
Your fine videos are a true blessing to me. No matter how I'm feeling, after watching your adventures in the mountains and listening to your calming voice, I feel uplifted for the day!!!
The fancy shoe buckle, exquisite but although the St.Nic.😅bell is a normal find wherever Europeans settled to hear one ring across the years is magical to me. Thank you Brad for a lovely visit to your neck of the woods.
YES VIRGINIA THERE IS A SANTA CLAUSE LOL Great Bell!
Brad, I’d love to see your display of items you’ve unearthed over the years. Perhaps you could do another video showcasing them? Have you tried detecting along the shores of Lake Champlain? Love to see what’s hidden in the ground along its shores near Addison County. Thanks for a great channel!
This was one of the best videos. Obviously no one has detected here before! A great spread of items, but no coins. Thanks for sharing!
Good to be here another Friday. Thanks brother.
The mountains of Vermont are beautiful and look oh so peaceful in the fall time! I would love to be there with you. I’d sit on the stones and just breathe in the crisp air!
Another wonderful site highlighted by 3 absolutely amazing finds- the bell, show buckle and baby spoon- great stuff!!
I've been watching your old videos. Your added history notes make a great addition.
Another enjoyable Friday morning Vermont Artifact hunt to start my day .. Thanks !
The Bells
Edgar Allen Poe
Hear the sledges with the bells --
Silver bells!
What a world of merriment their melody foretells!
How they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle,
In the icy air of night!
While the stars that oversprinkle
All the heavens, seem to twinkle
With a crystalline delight;
Keeping time, time, time,
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the tintinnabulation that so musically wells
From the bells, bells, bells, bells,
Bells, bells, bells --
From the jingling and the tinkling of the bells.
Love your video's Brad. You are so like one of our sons, we feel we know you. Here is a verse for your crotal bells!
The baby spoon handle, I believe, was formed in a loop so the baby could grab it and learn how to feed itself. My mom had one for me .
Could the lead triangle thing possibly be a cuff link? Maybe? And the baby spoon could be shaped like that to make it easier for the baby to hold on to when they’re first learning to use utensils? Just thoughts. Absolutely love the sleigh bell. I used to collect bells of all types until I downsized. I miss that collection. Unfortunately they aren’t something that’s plentiful in Texas so metal detecting to find one would be a very long hunt. Especially where I’m at near the border with Mexico. Very enjoyable video. Thanks.
I believe you are spot on .my grands had the same baby sets they kept to pass on to their daughters and my mom passed 10yrs ago at a very respectable 102 yrs
I thought cuff link also.. for the triangle..
Question: Brad, are you and Eddie still doing your super secret adventure? Are you saving it for winter?
Sorry, that’s super secret. But, we may occasionally post secret updates and even trailers on the Facebook and Instagram pages… maybe.

For me the baby spoon is the best find. That spoon was very special to the mother. That is a candidate for restoration.
Yes , so cool. I think that long handle was likely bent into a loop with possibly a tang at the end. I agree a restoration would be outstanding
Love the baby spoon. It would have circled back to the spoonbowl to make a loop.
The colors are beautiful in the southern Appalachian Tennessee Smokey Mtns. too. My favourite time of year!
Excellent finds. The baby spoon handle would have swooped back under to make a loop. Always look forward to Friday. Love your videos.
The bell is my favorite find, super cool
I wish you were on for an hour. The time flies when I'm watching!
Your narration and editing are so good! Really enjoy your videos. Some day I’m hoping to try detecting.
@duggkenn I tried it, I learned I dont have the patience required to be good at it. It took Brad several hours to find all that loot. He also doesn't show the "garbage" finds that litter the forest floor. I decided I love WATCHING people metal detecting, from the comfort of my home, in My PJ's. with a cup of coffee in hand! 😁
Best buckle I have ever seen found by a detectorist. By the way Brad your camera work and video quality is easily the best I have seen on CZcams. My hats off to you my man.
Wow,what a day! That shoe buckle and the bell! Thank you for sharing!
Lots of great finds! That bell and the shoe buckle were the icing on the cake!!!
outstanding💯👍🏆
Thanks for ringing the bell. That buckle was outstanding!!
That shoe buckle is gorgeous. I would fall over if I found it. The etching on it is so pretty
Thanks Brad for making my Friday morning more enjoyable!
Fridays with Brad!! God is Great 🙏✝️
Love your esthetic 👍
Keep em coming Brad, love the story telling about the finds.
✌🏼💚✌🏼💚🙏🏻 maybe we will cross paths deep in the woods of Vermont. Great bell, sweet buckle, nice spoon ✌🏼💚✌🏼💚🙏🏻
Wow! Beautiful finds on this trip.
I just love the crotal bells!!!! I would so put a thin red ribbon on that and hang it on my Christmas tree! ❤️
That shoe buckle is soooo sweet!!!!
wow what great awesome finds today. TY for sharing I love learning about history
I can’t get over the crotal bell singing again, after so much time.
Good Morning Brad, Another exciting adventure you've taken us on! Beautiful piece of jewelry, old spoon And the complete, unbroken bell that you got to ring for us! Thank you for sharing : )
Happy Friday everyone! Thank you for another great video Brad, and thank you for ringing the bell for us!! Autumn is my favorite time here in New England!
The lead triangle looks like a toy iron possibly? The "sprue" could be the handle
Love that bell. Love all your finds. But, your complete bell totally the best. ❤❤
Beautiful shoe buckle and hearing the bell was magical. 🔔♥️
Beautiful buckle! The bell is awesome! It is wonderful to hear it ring again. Another great video!
Thank you! It felt like a mini vacation! 😎🌵💙
It looked small enough to be a women's stocking clasp.
I've always wondered what that person who lost his shoe buckle did to continue wearing his shoe. I'm pretty sure he didn't have a supply of shoes
May have been dumped after he got a pair of them there newfangled buckleless boots....
Brad you need to put all your jingle bells on a Xmas tree I'm sure they will look wonderful or even a dry branch to display them throughout the year.😘😘
1892. My great grandfather was born in 1890. In Minnesota. He died in Oregon. I'm a lowly 43 years old.
Magical colors hear in CT. Always love Autumn.
The suspenders buckle looks like it would have held stockings up. The triangle could be a cuff link. The “spruce) swings from side ti side. May work once clean.
Always excited when a new video comes out ! Many great finds surrounded by beautiful nature
The buckle!! gasp! I'm so happy for you!
Great adventure, thanks for bring us along! I would love to see your collection of knife finds. As far as the bell i could hear it.....I believe!! God bless!
Nicely done Brad as usual, love your videos. 🇺🇸
That must have been a comparatively affluent farmer. That you could ring that bell was kind of uplifting to me, like a tribute to the maker for creating such a durable, enjoyable, item that brings happiness to the ear. The soil there seems like it isn't as destructive as it is in most of the locations where you detect, I hope you'll revisit the site.
Those were all excellent digs. Love the crotel bell. Beautiful country, i would love to see . Happy swingin n diggin Brad. T4S another great video. 👍👍😘😘
Such very cool stuff the baby spoon and the shoe buckle are number 1 & 2. Not often do we get to see things for babies in your videos. My guess is that they were used for as many of children in the family and passed down through the generations.
The baby spoon handle design probably looped back, making it easier for the mother to hold. Great find!
One of the best hunts ever. All things were beautiful. Thank you
Thank you Brad for the adventure , seeing some beautiful scenery and amazing finds especially the bell !
The BEST entertainment value!
Awesome finds in this video. Love the shoe buckle, fancy spoon and croatal bell. That is my favorite.
Cool spoon!!!😮❤😊Love the Bell too!!!
Few states are as beautiful in the fall as Vermont ! Truly one of God's works of art !
LOVE your videos! I'm addicted! Just a note though, the small item you decribed as a supender piece is actually more intimate. It's for holding up women's stockings & men's socks. The name "velvet touch" is a sales point, saying it's gentle so won't tear your silk stockings.
Great insight!
The brooch is circa 1900, give or take 10 years. A 200-year-old brooch would have a "tube" or "barrel" hinge on the pin itself, rather than the round hinge it actually has. It's still a very cool find but probably not as old as you initially thought. In fact, it's probably from the same era as the baby spoon, which looks to be 1890-1910 as well.
If the History Channel does not pick this guy up,? Multi-talented young man.his parents have alot to be PROUD OF.HIS DEMEANOR, KNOWLEDGE, even more so his admission when he does not know what a thing is.This show is definitely more interesting than what they have going on..Best of Luck to you and your family Brad..
Brad, you may not have noticed but as a mountain detectorist you have gotten to be not only a bit of a historian but a detective as well. Great work on your very unique video channel!
Once again some great finds from Vermont.
Awesome finds. Love the spoon, buckle and bell. Thanks for sharing!!!
What a day, incredible finds. Loved hearing the bell. See you next week
Nice hunt. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful Crotal Bell.
Brad, the lead triangular object may be a child's toy iron. the spoon though and the bell, what amazing finds. you definitely keep it interesting. nice work.
Sweet wood hunt. The buckle and bell are truly incredible! Very much enjoyed the other finds as well. Great video as always, Brad 👍
That bell has me thinking of a compass, my first time commenting on one of your videos ! I watch no other metal detecting videos really except yours. Been a viewer for a few year's now, thanks for doing what you do! I love metal detecting but never had the opportunity to go and do any detecting here in Kentucky. Again thank you for your videos!
What a great bell find, especially since it is complete.
Another great video and finds. Wow, they really got their mileage out of that axe. Thanks Brad.
Great show ! Love the bell & baby spoon, very unique ! Thanks for the hunt ! G
The baby spoon handle may have looped around to form a type of ear for easy grabbing. Really super cool.
Brad, just love your videos. Started watching someone else when I was laid up but now, we just watch you and a couple others (Northern Mud larkers and a guy in Scotland) because you are so professional and knowledgeable. We can tell you are like our boys who are kind and smart. Thanks for your videos. You are like a son We watch on our TV so can't comment regularly.
Awesome hunt many great finds Congratulations
Ty for sharing
Great bunch of finds 😮 that shoe buckle is beautiful 😍 and the bell is just as good. 😁 HH and take care.
The lead piece is a tiny childs toy "sad iron" ... They also had tiny lead plates, cups, tea pots, etc...
