He said something like "Oh no, we don't have lyrics. It's just growling and screaming. Most small death metal bands are like that, and people can't tell the difference anyway."

I sold merch for CC on their Monolith of Death Tour in '96. They are great guys. They used to roll their shirts up and stick them inside grab machines at truck stops for people to win.
..so that's how the people that doesn't know the bands music ended up wearing them, which in turn made it into a fasion?
I think it was because Corpsegrinder got stuck in the machine trying to get his prize but had to squeeze out leaving his shirt behind.

Honestly I don’t know what is more terrifying the lyrics being delivered so smoothly with such a charming smile… or looking to see what other videos are on this channel and finding that it’s just the same video uploaded seventeen fucking years ago? This channel has been on this sight since 2006 and after all that time just these two videos seventeen years apart, it’s eerie. But even more so when I realize, I graduated from high school in 2006.
That’s what is going to keep me up tonight, existential dread.

Hey, I totally understand. I finished high school in 1999, and know of the “existential dread” you speak of. IMO, that’s what being middle age is like nowadays. For me, that’s part of what life feels like 25 years after high school… After many teen years of wanting to fit in with my peers, all the worrying about my clothes and appearance, and all the superficial crap myself and most teens worried about back then had practically zero effect on my adult life. Tho any the time these things happened as a teen, it was always like a life or death struggle. But by the time I was 21 all of that crap just didn’t matter and I didn’t care about popularity and all that crap… Definitely big differences between teenage and adulthood.
This is like a class reunion for all the people who remember seeing this when it first came out all those years ago

I'd browse YT on my office PC after hours but it was a few years later that I was able to have a router installed at home. One day my mom was doing some chores while I was on the PC, she glanced into the screen and asked me to hook up the big speakers so the rest of us could hear.
