    The suction power on turbo or full-speed is good and eliminates all unglued dirt🌼 less effective than a wheeled vacuum cleaner. At the end of cleaning the floor is clean enough to pass the rag directly without finding any residue.

    I got the Roborock s50 robot (aka. mi smart vacuum cleaner 2) I'm so happy with its performance here are few points that makes me feel even better after seeing this video:
    1- battery is much bigger 5200
    2-it comes with additional filter & additional mop
    3- it can do the same functionality as this robot HOWEVER why I prefer mine as I want to vacuum and mop in the same time while I'm in the office I go back home and the house is clean and smells good "I add detergent to the water". I can also remove the mop and do just vacuuming
    4- a bit cheaper by the day I got mine for 370 euros/ 418 $ but I checked it before writing this it dropped 20$
    5-supports Mi Home App out of the box IN ENGLISH

    @xiamify, 2dB is NOT hardly noticable - volume DOUBLES every 3dB. Other than that, great stuff, as always! Cheers from Poland!

    • @xiaomify
      @xiaomify  Před 5 lety +8

      In a way you are correct; I would say that 3dB is double the ratio, or double the power... However, it actually is 10 dB that is commonly perceived as "double the volume" to our ears to be exact. (I can get quite nerdy on it as I used to teach audio engineering ;) )
      Bottom line; I think that the difference in loudness (the way I perceived it) between the Roborock and this Viomi vacuum cleaner is around 1 dB at its maximum vacuum strength, and 1dB, or maybe 2 dB, on the lower vacuum strengths. -It's really not that big of a difference when you hear them side-by-side :)
      Thanks for your comment though ;)

    After testing both
    Which one would you buy?
    Viomi or roborock?
    For what you said.
    Most of the cons in viomi will be corrected when it enter mi home app.
    The others cons are:
    1 no vacuum while mopping
    2 the path it does (as you said it is still pretty good)
    There are another cons?
    Pros?

    just got the roborock at a great price and it managed to 95% vacuum and mop the floor in a unused appartement in France , it was full of dust with furnitures, and i have to say , it's like a miracle, these things if u give it a try, of course you still need a regular dyson to have access to spaces to thight... this second gen from Wiomi looks a lot like the last roborock in black too.. i wonder if it's xiaomi behind too ? i'm sure this one will mop the floor even better, but unless you have a really dirty floor , i'm a bit unsure about the fact that u need to change the dust collector for an actual water tank, cos the roborock can mop with it's little water tank and vacuum at the same time .. but at this point in time, do not hesitate... buy one . it's freaking awesome.

      The Xiaomi Roborock also suggests you first do the vacuum cleaning and do the mopping in a second run...

Meanwhile, our strong research and development capabilities and innovative products and services also enrich Xiaomi’s suite of offerings, resulting in a mutually beneficial relationship between Xiaomi and us.” From the viomi website. Viomi however is an Xiaomi ecosystem brand and it isn’t only an European brand, infact with the Xiaomi Home app we can see that there are several Viomi branded items on the Chinese server and on the European servers (like the Italian one) there are some that on the Chinese servers there are not like the Viomi branded kettle (after re-proposed under MI mark) or this vacuum cleaner. compared to roborock s50 is viomi better or worse?

    • @xiaomify
      @xiaomify  Před 5 lety +8

      That is hard to say at this point. I was quite surprised that the Viomi did a really good job as well.
      I think they're both pretty much on the same level, and differences are marginal. I guess you could point out some pros and cons for either one...
      Pros for Viomi :
      • More control over mopping feature (and 3 water-amount levels)
      • Very accurate spot-cleaning
      • European Plug
      Cons for Viomi:
      • Only works with Viomi Robot APP (but should be added to Mi Home APP soon)
      • No automation rules (but also should come with Mi Home APP next month, I suppose)
      • Slightly different path planning (It does edge around in the first 'section', then zigzags through that, does edge around next section, etc...)
      Pros for Xiaomi/Roborock:
      • The path-planning does edge clean first, then zigzags all spots in between, and ends it with an edge clean again (this is slightly different on the Viomi, but I have to say that both do a pretty good job tbh...)
      • Automation rules in Mi Home APP + Voice control

      @justjc51 Před 5 lety +1

      @@draganpavic6434 The big question seems to be if the vacuuming or the mopping has the highest priority for you.
      The Roborock is slightly ahead in vacuuming, with better planning and in the new T6 version the ability to recognize rooms, while the Viomi is better at mopping having a much larger water tank that however replaces the dustbin so it cannot like the Roborock vacuum and mop at one go.

      You need to provide Xiaomi tech support with your mi ID and then you'll have a mi home update come up in app, updates mi home and it's then available, although no automations are possible yet. vacuum works amazingly well but softwares a bit limited at the moment it seems, I can't even get it to run at a certain time everyday which seems like a simple task.

    Roborock T6 makes this a joke...

    • @justjc51
      @justjc51 Před 5 lety

      This still has a significantly larger water tank, and the ability to climb slightly higher obstacles when mopping because its water tank does not sit underneath the robot vacuum. Also the Viomi is priced as the S5 series, while the T6 currently costs around 25 % more than the other two models.
      The best deal right now is clearly the Roborock S5 series, unless you need to mop a larger place where the bigger water tank of the Viomi v2 makes sense.

    Yet another week without a patch for the hideous bugs that slipped through on the V2 Pro 4 months ago.
    I've been a huge Xiaomi supporter. Now I discourage everyone from buying Xiaomi products. With such poor development support, anything that you buy, can be broken by incompetent developers shortly thereafter.
    Wish I could ask for my money back and buy a vacuum robot somewhere else!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
