    By "show the break" I mean show the overhead BEFORE the balls are separated. We want to see 1) where the player breaks from, 2) where on the headball he hits, 3) where the cue ball goes in the instant right after it hits, 4) how the end corner balls go, 5) how the two second tier balls move. The idea is not for your cameraman to get an emmy award. It is so we can watch the pool game.

      Please ,Some one clue me in, JJ keeps calling the cloth. “felt”. Felt is a completely different product than cloth.

    • @dougoverhoff7568
      @dougoverhoff7568 Před 2 lety

      @@charlesfair1582 Using the term "felt", when referring to the billiard table cloth, goes back to the old days, when the fabric used at that time was a very heavy, napped cloth, that somewhat resembled actual felt. It is a misnomer that persists, and not only does a disservice to the game, but especially to the mills that produce the very high quality, expensive, and highly specialized fabrics that are used in all billiard games today. "Machine Gun" Lou was right to correct you on that point.

    At about 40:30 of the video narrator says Niels sights with the opposite eye. This is patently false. He severely sights with his right eye and he's right handed. Earl Strickland does sights exactly the same way. Niels is almost blind in his left eye and I have to wonder which one of his eyes is "dominant" I certainly hope it's his right eye. And this is the second time I've heard this announcer say he shoots with his opposite eye. The only way this could possibly be correct is if Niels is left eye dominant.

    Filler is the greatest talent in pool. Even in such fast pace, he never miss. Earl in his prime, with slower pace, still missed. The great Mosconi in his prime missed a lot. Efren, though more talented in cue ball control, missed a lot, and often lost to Nick Varner and Buddy Hall. Another great talent comparable to Filler is Wu Jia Qing, but he's a wasted talent, his game did not developed much after the age of 20 and did not enter many world-class competitions.
