In this inaugural episode, we spotlight a courageous soldier Shaheed Ishtiyaq Ahmed, from Palmarh village, District Kishtwar (formerly District Doda), Jammu Province, Jammu and Kashmir-one of only two martyrs from the erstwhile Doda district. This brave soul attained martyrdom while capturing the strategic Pt 5203 in the challenging Batalik Sector of Ladakh during OP VIJAY in Kargil war, 1999.

Despite their extraordinary bravery, many of these martyrs have not received the recognition they deserve from mainstream media.
