- The Washington County District Attorney’s Office on Thursday released the 911 calls that were made on the night Kaylin Gillis was shot and killed, which they said were very helpful in securing a murder conviction.
Trying to cover up his own tracks. How pathetic.
That giggle at the end of the call... im glad he is an old man and im glad 25 years is long enough he will never get out and never be able to hurt anybody ever again.
Yeah, it was bad, but let’s not be “Jerry the Judge”, here. This could have happened to you, too. How would you like it? Leave the judging to the trial judge and the lord above. Thank you!
@@theetruth4267he is *already* judged BY THE COURT and going to jail, so your comment is nonsensical. 🤦♂️
@@user9b2 who “judged” him? Can we please use correct terminology? The jury convicted him and the judge sentenced him. Thank you!
@@theetruth4267 We have an ESTEEMED attorney here. Man, oh man, such correctness.
the sound of entitlement.
If this boob was so scared, he should have had a gate at the end of his drive, as to keep people from driving up to his house.
exactly - this is not the type of home that a 'scared' person would live in. If he felt under siege, he should have called 911 immediately . I do not believe he felt fear or scared, he was pissed that some strangers had driven up his drive way!!!
A car turned in my drive just the other day, and I did nothing, because I have turned in other's drives before, no big deal. This guy seems to be a bit strange for sure. @@kenn1936
Or at least a sign
Can't you open a gate? And clearly if you are looking for party why turn up to an out of the way no lights on no music country home. Do you know why? not saying shooting was the answer but why were they there? Clearly no party there so why drive up half mile long drive toward no lights looking for a party. Correlation isn't causation but Occam would disagree.
Future Driveway shooter?. @@jaredoliver9347
He claimed that he felt threatened by these kids but he doesn't sound like it from what I could hear during that call. I would think that he'd be breathing a lot heavier and his voice would be stressed. That laughter at the end really sounded threatened...
Neighbors said he drove around like a maniac but he can shoot others
There was no threat to him or his wife. He was safely inside his home behind closed doors. A firearm should only be used as a last method of defense. Calling 911 should have been his only defense unless someone approached his home and tried to forcibly enter his home. My condolences to that young lady and her family and friends, that will be something they will have to contend with forever. My heart aches for that girl’s family.
"By the way, any gunshots that may have been reported, just some guys hunting at night. No need to investigate."
Yeah, this tape is damning for him. If he quickly reported the manner to the police instead of lying I think the jury would have been much more likely to believe his story about a warning shot and then accidentally shooting a second one. Still not great, but this tape reinforces he was trying to cover it up.
Hunting with dogs? So it was hunters who fired the fatal shot?
“I’m an old man”, feel sorry for me.
Hunting late at night?
Ya he really sounded in fear of his life, pfft. No way was his wife also hiding and cowering in the closet either when he made that call.
The judge and prosecutor were AMAZING......no other words for them...
That looks like a street to me, not a driveway. Aren’t there other houses along the same road? He crazy. Glad he was found guilty.
I Can understand that HE is scared when a huge crowd comes driving. But killing people without Them attacking him directly is crazy
Yes, I agree. Sure, you are concerned and a bit scared if you see two cars and a motorcycle come down your driveway. But wait and see what they are going to do before you act. They are not posing an immediate threat to you, so maybe call 911 as you watch them in your driveway. If he would have waited a few minutes, he would have seen them turn around and leave.
@@DR-mq1vn Where can I read all the facts/exact timeline of the case? First time Im hearing there was a motorcycle and two cars. What type of cars? Where was their friends house located that they were going to in relation to this guys house?
@@barrysuss4421 One motorcycle and 2 cars were on their way to a party. They turned down this man's driveway mistakenly. But they quickly realized their mistake and turned around.
@@DR-mq1vn He has a long driveway that goes around his house. Did all the vehicles drive around his house? At what point did they realize they were at the wrong house? Have they ever been to the house they were going to before? How far was the house they were going to from this guys house?
@@barrysuss4421 I don't think all the vehicles drove around his house. They all realized within 30 seconds that they were at the wrong house. Nobody ever got out of their vehicles. They had never been to the house where the party was being held. I don't know how far away the party house was. But I do know that the cars were turning around to leave. I think you can find the 911 calls from the people in the cars on youtube. Also, I'm sure there are videos that map it all out and time it all.
Now you are an old convict - for good!
Now he can look out his cell window 😂😂
The photo of the girl with the puppy is heartbreaking 😢
Can someone explain to me this, Did the kids just simply one time drive up the driveway in an attempt to turn around? Ot where there multiple times the same car was in the driveway? im confused about the specifics of this case if im fair.
I could understand your confusion, they did not state that. The fact stands however that there was no threat to him or his wife. Calling 911 first was all he needed to do unless they tried to break into his home.
@@Deribinkle I'm 50 years old and rom a part of northern new england where it wasnt uncommen to be shot at if i were trespassing. This isnt trespassing as far as im concerned. The real work starts with the kids who lived through it working through what those events can to do you "when your in your head" sorta speak. No apology necessary. Living near either northern or southern border certainly changes things. Stay safe.@@jonathanschadenfreude9603
Yeah he sure felt threatened
Paranoid schizophrenic in my opinion that shouldn't have guns.
People are petrified out here be careful i know the description i hope you all do as well.

There’s a lot of Kevin monahans out there. Guns embolden cowards.

My thoughts exactly.
At least he’s not crying . . . yet
Huge difference
@@LibertyDIY nah
@@Nmitchellediting Why nah? Rittenhouse was actually trying to run away and the other guy he shot was about to kill him with a pistol, Monahan here shot at them while they were leaving. Im not american so this liberal vs republican thing is so out of hand.
Not Guilty
Castle doctrine?
No. That is if someone actually tries to enter your home. Those kids did nothing of the sort.
Castle doctrine is bullcrap anyway.
castle doctrine does not apply to the lot, driveway, backyard etc. literally only the domicile in which you live. you can NOT shoot somebody for being on your lawn. try it.
So glad he will be jailed for the rest of his hateful life. RIP to the young woman.
Horrible. The day you can't defend your property with deadly force.
they were people who were lost and were turning around
It's horrible that you think deadly force is a justified response to young people who are lost.
Another trump supporter in prison, won't see him trying to steal an election.🤣
Except that is NOT what Monahan did. Cars and a motorcycle coming up the driveway unexpectedly is reason to be alert, but only a POTENTIAL threat at most. No reason to do anything more at that point than turn on outside lights and observe. There was no immediate threat to life or property. No one got out of the vehicles. No one showed any evidence of malicious or criminal intent. I don't even see a good reason to call 911, unless an actual threat developed, which it never did. IF any threat had evolved, Monahan would have put himself in greater danger by going outside to confront whoever was out there; he and his wife were safer where they were. IF an armed home invasion by multiple intruders HAD occurred, Monahan and probably his wife would likely be deceased. Beyond turning on the outside lights, everything he did was exactly wrong, foolish, and completely unjustified, and that's NOT hindsight talking, just common sense. If it matters, I am older than Monahan, live in a rural area, and keep a firearm for self defense; I also know that use of deadly force is not the first resort, but the last, to be used only in the gravest extreme, when all other means have failed to prevent,. avoid, deter or stop a threat of imminent death or grave bodily harm to myself and/or other innocent people.
if he didn't want unknown people driving up, he could have put out a gate. @@billstubbs8226
