Our students got to experience his wonderful performance of Go The Distance from one of their favorite Disney movie Hercules. Just WOW!!!! Not very many singers can sound the same or better than their much younger years and he does!!!! He’s amazing!!!!
That was amazing. Unfortunately, and it’s just the way it is I suppose depending how often you sing and for how many years, but a lot of famous Disney singers don’t always sound as good years later.
But he’s still got it!! That was great, and he held out all the long notes!!

Wow!!!! That’s an AMAZING performance!! I was an adult with a toddler when I saw the movie and got so emotional I teared up when Roger Bart sang this as young Hercules. The words, music, and lyrics were just perfect. It made me cry. I remember what it was like to be a teenager trying to figure it all out and having some rough times. That’s the magic of performance… even for an animated character. It can really make you feel and remind you you’re human. And every time I hear the song I remember the first time I heard it and how I felt. Thank you Roger.

after watching desperate housewives and “googling” all the cast in it (cause i’m so obsessed/fan of that show) I stumbled to one of my favorite song just knowing after 31 years of existence that it was sung by george in DH! (shocked with excitement!) great actor by the way!

One of my all time Disney songs, only when Roger sings it. I was gutted they had someone else sing 'Go The Distance' for their 'Happily Ever After' fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. Why? He has the most wonderful voice.

I'm ashamed to say I often forget that the actors who voice the Disney characters I grew up with are often not the same ones singing the classic songs. I know Roger Bart for The Producers and bit roles like American Gangster and Harold & Kumar. I never realized he sang this song, it's such a great one and he's tremendous even years later!
They seemed to have been changing that - Frozen, Moana, Coco(Pixar) for example

I can understand what the casting director must have felt when deciding he was the right singer for this role. That aspiration that comes with the lyrics. I felt it when I was 11, watching the Disney movie. I feel it watching this too!!
