The Minnesota Grown Program is a statewide partnership between the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and producers of Minnesota agricultural products. Created in the late 1980s by specialty crop growers to differentiate their products, the program has become a trusted resource to connect producers and consumers. Minnesota Grown creates the online Minnesota Grown Directory, which connects Minnesotans directly to farmers, farmers markets, and other producers.
Each season, Prairie Yard & Garden travels the state to meet with researchers, gardening and nursery professionals, educators and ordinary backyard gardeners to discuss specific issues in horticulture, landscaping and a host of topics in gardening.
