  • Come in.
    Today, we open "doors" so you can get to know from "A to Z": the office where the Tomir 2.0 was produced. The creatives behind the shoe. And even the trails where we tested all our products. Before they arrive at your home.

    Nicely explained, very articulate and precise. Excited to try the shoes on at the Boulder event coming up. I love the first version, but appreciate all the testing and thought that was put into the second one. Thank you for doing things differently, The industry, as a whole needs to be shaken up a bit so kudos to the team. Cheers!

    Hi Nnormal - I don't see a waterproof Tomir 2.0 available on your site? (Or a Tomir 2.0 boot.) Are you not doing a waterproof or a boot version for 2.0? If not, why not? Pretty please?! 🙏

      Colin, thanks so much for your question. For now, it is not part of the plan to have a 2.0 of the Waterproof version.

    I'm curious about the lacing direction. I have the1.0 but it looks the same. The laces come over the top of the holes rather than from under like most shoes. It makes it harder to tighten them. I'm tempted to relace them, but wonder about the philosophy.

    If only all brands had such an openness and authetic designprocess as normal we would have these bunch of disposable shoes for years. Thanks normla, for thi Tomir 2 I tested and loved it. Amazing value for price especially considering its lifespan !

    I saw two reviews of the Tomir and one of them complained about the toe where the upper and the midsole separated. I've had this issue with other shoes in the past. So in the end I opted to buy different shoes. I can't say that this was a reoccurring issue since I never owned a pair, but it's nice to see that the only reason I had against getting a pair seems to not be one any more.
    It looks dope btw. Keep up the great work!

    Why isn't the toe box shaped like a human foot? What is the philosophy behind that decision?

    • @LTCrozier
      @LTCrozier Před měsícem +2

      There are multiple different foot shapes. The Nnormal shape is far better for my foot than say an Altra. I also found as a sales person for Altra that although the shape looks like a 'foot' when running especially on technical terrain customer (and myself included) had much more movement. A slightly more tapered toe reduces the chance of a foot sliding both fore and aft as well as laterally if the midfoot is not well enough supported thus reducing blisters, hot spots and dead toes. Remember a shoe is a tool, if you have ever been rock climbing you will know tight shoes are better on technical terrain where support and stability are important, vise versa a shoe with more width or a 'foot shape' works super well on flatter fire roads etc. I guess it depends what you define as trail running and where you run as well as the foot shape. Buy the brand that best fits those needs.
