I love Neutron 4. I don’t even use the AI assistant modules very much but just all the different modules in one plugin is very nice and they all sound quite good in my opinion
Loading up the reference piano just goes to show that you dont have to go by the piano setting that izotope says is the general settings for good sounding piano. The curve is way different. And thats on a hit song. But I really like how it tone matched the track. Great video and I do think that these plugins are something worth exploring as an "assistant" to getting the best sonic sound.
You can, but the instrument, or the vocal in this instance, needs to have the potential to come as close as possible. But yes, if you find some acapella of an artist close enough to the vocalist, it will be a great acapella. How it sits in the mix will, of course, depends on the other tracks. Choice of microphone, room, and distance will also become an issue, but yes, you will hit the frequency anyway if there is no high-pass or low-pass in the recording. In this video, the piano didn't have so much in the upper range. But clarity also depends on the choice of microphone.
U can definitely use this on ur vocals.For best results download which artist u think have similar voice to urs accappella and use that as ur reference. If u don’t want to download any accappella use the target reference inside plugin or if u have a track professionally recorded u can use that as ur reference

You dont need it ☺ just use a good spectrum analyser and eq it to match. Add some compression, saturation add some reverb on a return track and side chain it to the original. That kind what this is doing. The problem is your taking a sound with frequencys that are not supposed to sound like that piano. So you could be swashing the best part of the sound your using. Tbh I actually prefer the setting the assistant come up.
Essentially its a robot AI using an EQ to shape the sound you have to match the sound you want. If you practice using EQ enough, you'll become not only just as good as the AI, but better and faster. (until the tech improves)

Must admit I'm a fan of Izotope plugins for sure, they've helped me a lot, but like you say that 'new' feature doesn't seem worth any sort of hype in my opinion haha. Just do exactly what you said lol or use tonal balance control (if you have it) and only load in a single track/stem as a reference instead of a whole mix, this isn't a new feature at all they've just changed what product it's on

I never understand CZcamsrs who really think that their opinions on a plug-in is worth anything when they literally got the product for free. Yeah they didn't get paid for the advertisement, but they actually really did because they got a few hundred dollars worth of product for free. In any industry, that would be considered a huge conflict of interest that can completely negate the opinions of the reviewer simply because of the bias that is involved in this transaction.
My friend i get hundreds of email everyday to advertise companies software and i pick the ones i feel are extremely strong and useful. Getting a plugin for free isn't paying my bills. Rather its me sharing with my audience something i think can be useful for them. So please stop let the other people enjoy the content and allow them to make the decision themselves whether they want to purchase it or not
I only see the better products being reviewed on here so Devvon is only doing people a favor. There's hardly any plugin that can tone match like neutron tbh

If you could do a target curve preset for your (lead)vocals, and offer it, be sure I would buy that!
