I went to Steve Howe’s rendition of Yes and politely clapped as if he had sunk a 4 footer. Then I went to see Jon Anderson with Band Geeks and was wiping tears from my eyes. This from a guy who saw Yes in the Garden in ‘78.
Band Geek's collaboration with Jon Anderson was spectacular. Congratulations to all.

I agree, Jon! Being there at the Times Square show with you, Goldie, and Shane McGeehin was such an amazing experience. It was so great to see Richie live after following him and continuing the fandom with the Sunday Hecklers.
Richie...I've been a huge fan of you and Andy A and Andy G for a while. You guys playing with Jon was easily one the greatest things ever for me. I've been listening to YES since 77 my high school years and YES music just makes me go to another place. Thank you for doing those shows. Your an awesome dude!!!!
I can't begin to tell you what the Jon Anderson tour meant to me. Your channel is a blast, but man was that Yes show a huge gift. You guys were amazing!! Thank You so very much!
I saw Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks three times in May and they were easily the best shows I saw all year. I never thought I would hear those songs played live at that level again, but they played them the way they were meant to be played. I met several longtime Yes fans at the shows who weren't familiar with the Band Geeks, and they were blown away by what they heard.
Congrats on 100k Richie. Well deserved! You are a rare breed being so amazingly multi-talented, while always gracious and humble.
The tour with Jon made my year! Congratulations to you and the many extraordinary people that made this dream tour come true!

Richie; it was so great to see you and BoC at the Nugget last week. It was great to see what a truly magnificent musician you are. I wrote a note to Danny about seeing him in 1996 at the Konocti, and hubby wrote you specifically about your efforts on CZcams (etc) to bring us interesting content about not only BoC, but your own projects. Thanks again for signing the poster for me too! Best wishes to you in the upcoming year, and hope to see you again soon! Kimberly
Very much hoping for a BluRay or DVD follow-up to the tour with Jon Anderson (maybe that's one of the things in progress that you can't talk about....). For me, seeing the CZcams footage of those shows was an amazing thing - that earlier could never have been performed in any other Yes-related context because of the supposed necessity for everyone to have their solo slot. The team-plus-Jon format made for time for so much more music, all curated and performed with amazing competence and taste, and, improtantly, lack of ego.
Already immensely grateful to everyone involved for the huge effort in putting all of it together - a disc of some kind as the legacy of the tour would make loads of sense and hopefully sell a boatload! Fingers crossed for this to happen. Wishing you a great 2024!

This may be in the works, but I'm surprised the Jon Anderson Band Geek shows weren't released on Blu-ray. By all accounts, they nailed the live sound of primetime Yes. That would have a worldwide audience.
I'm seeing BOC tonight at the beautiful Rialto Theatre in Tucson Arizona, their penultimate concert of 2023. If you see this Richie, I appreciate what you've done with the mighty Blue Oyster Cult.

I was able to enjoy 3 parts of your year...
Both of the Chicago (area) Band Geek Yes shows and the BOC show, also at the Arcada Theatre.
Having grown up with Yes and seen them twice, the Geeks did the music proud!
So nice to see Jon again!

I saw my first BOC show in 1976. The Chicago show was one of the best I have seen over the years! I have pictures I would love to share with you.
Spent some time listening to you and the Imaginos project. Really nice (re)arrangements of the songs!

first saw your channel when i was looking to get a Helix... you had your dad on and convinced him to get a Stomp. subscribed based on that and have enjoyed your content for over 4 years now... used to love the sunday night (UK time) one man streams!

It was definitely a great year for you and the Geeks Richie. I first stumbled across your channel from a CZcams suggestion. Your amazing rendition of Close to the Edge blew me away in the same way I heard Yes perform it the first time. I've been hooked ever since and can't wait for the next video. I saw the Jon Show in St Charles. It was unbelievably great. I just wish you could do it again. I had true faith in you and your friends to do it justice.
Since you mentioned BOC, I have to say (as a fan since '76) the first installment of the 50th anniversary releases was everything I could have hoped, and more -- the absolute best. Thank you so much, to you and the guys.

First of all, congrats on 100.000. Beautiful , man. And Rudy sarzo is a very very nice guy. Rudy is also a very very smart man . I had the lucky shot of being at a place where Rudy and Frankie banality was. I got to speak to Rudy, which he didn't have to speak to me , but he took his time to talk to me about all sorts of things. The main topic was his time with randy rhoads. I knew it was hard for Rudy to speak about what happened, but he told me. Man, I left thinking this is my favorite musician. Soon after this Rudy wrote his book about his time and the accident when on tour. I of course was the 1st to buy a signed copy. If any of you out there that hasn't seen Rudy live, please go see him. Hes arguably the top 3 best bass players ever with style. He's touring with quiet riot, keeping the music going and going. Love it.
