Moving the same dev team between projects turned out exactly as expected.
I'm sorry to disappoint you... but devs have absolutely nothing to do with decisions about what to include in the game... that's producers&gameplay engineers job... devs just create it... and they are spareted from other wow content... From my information, there are issues with how the game works and they don't want to spend time to redo some core mechanics... they focused more on content for end game... the team is not big enough to redo some stuff they would like to... Also SoD is a seasonal server... And there is no money in SoD... Most of the resources are allocated to World Soul Saga which has now 3 development teams... As far as I know, there are some big plans for WoW. SoD, Classic, etc. are there to keep people engaged until it's ready...

The theory that SoD is an experiment to attract people from Vanilla to Retail doesn't seem far-fetched to me. As an MMORPG SoD sucks.
Well the old MMORPG are all dead and they don’t attract new players. Why would anyone pick a game where you have to have no real life to be able to play over a game you can just log in and play? MMOs had their timeframe. Look at all the MMOs that were released in the past 10 years. All of them died in no time.
And I don’t think they can lure players to retail with SOD. Retail is far more complex. There’s so much content, more classes, talents, builds, skills, etc. I really don’t think new players have a good time playing retail.
Seems Blizzard learned nothing from previous instant Starsurge by giving Ele Shamans instant Lava Burst... LB is the equal of a Starfire on Balance Druid. The same way a druid needs to cast a Starsurge to able to do big damage with a Starfire, the same way Ele Shaman must Lava Shock to Lava Burst.
What was the thinking process behind for devs to make it instant? Ele shams have never had any burst issues on p3 to see this a requirement.
They could mitigate this change by adding a dispell protection for VT (similar to UA for locks). It's gonna be terrible otherwise, giving up on void plague or dispersion is a big nono in pvp.
Everyone got 3 new runes. Mage and Pally got buffed. Everyone else got nerfed or ignored. Kinda sad this is what they came up with.

@@TankingPriestVideos Yes but you don't go into a PTR hoping what you worked on fails, you need new systems/skills, or the entire plan needs huge adjustments. You go in hoping all the changes are good and that there might be minor numerical issues to iron out. The only thing we are likely to see are some numerical changes. If you wanted new skills and didn't get them or think the design of something is bad then you're going to be out of luck. Unless they postpone the release again due to huge backlash, which is very unlikely to happen, what we see is pretty much all we are getting. We're going to have to wait a long time for anything else.
They weren’t thinking about PVP at all when they made that change. Guarantee it.

They don't care about how anything they do affects pvp and literally never stop to consider how anything they do is going to play out in pvp or affect it. That's why SoD pvp is always such garbage and why it always will be.

As a Shadow priest main, phase 3 and onwards was a letdown.
Im Spriest too and not to sure if its gonna be any good for us in P4

didnt they literally say at one point they wouldn't add spells that interfered with player position, such as thunderstorm, yet they give death grip to warriors

Really hope they move void plague to the wrist or helm or something. Thats really gonna hurt shadow a lot.
As a Tanking Priest i'm a lil biased, but I hope VP is made baseline.
So much stuff that is just mindboggling... Been testing a bunch on PTR and the entire design for classes is so out of whack now. Best classes looks to be ele, mage, rogue. Shadow has gotten yet another dot. Total ability bloat... and the runes are basically not much of a choice. there are CLEAR logical choices for most modes. These devs have lost the plot. It is exactly how I thought this would go. Uninspired copy and paste BS.
Blizzard should just copy the spells from Ascension and give them new names . Ascension wow has this down to a T
Ascension has been cooking up some legit crazy spells lately.
can't stand grip spells man, and having grip + charge at disposal is so insane for pvp. Can literally always get at someone
With warriors you have Intercept, Charge, (the other spell that removes movement imparting effects), now this Death Grip lol wtf….

Priests demanded buffs for PVE, and they got it. This change will give them a buff in PVE, however it came with a cost. You're either a super glass cannon in PVP now or a lot of your damage in PVP is gone.
The squeaky wheel got the grease but the wish was a monkey paw.
Moving void to feet means u get to play same old shadow classic but just mind blast and mind flay gona do more dmg, since playing pvp without dispersion is insane. Like move it to Head ffs not feet. Pve bullshit gona get other way to get mana and then u use void to kill fucking dragons better. My god like pvp is 5% of game not 50% of game
