I know Miller is more of a typical leader type but I love Hughes quiet leadership style. Reminds me of Joe Sakic a little.

Every leader needs a group around them to cover their weak areas. JT provides the đ„ that Quinn lacks at this point in his career. Quinn gets to play good cop, while JT plays bad cop.
Hughes sounds the same when he's bummed out as when he is jubilant.
I called the Oil win tonight even when we tied it up with a minute and a half left and I said to my buds all day the Oil would win tonight. However, that same gut feeling of the Nuck loss tonight also tells me the Nucks will win the next 2.

Hate to tell you, but Edmonton takes the series and I'm a Canucks fan but when you phone games in like that you deserve to lose. They only had two players on the whole team that actually played and their so-called superstar should be benched. He hasn't showed up the whole playoffs. I wonder if he's got money on the series

Our defenseman pinched three times in this playoffs, and three times we got scored on.
1) Hronek's pinch against Nashville (body check) in Game 3 lead to an Angelista goal.
2) Soucy's pinch in Game 2 against the Oilers lead to a McDavid breakaway goal (Myers also tried to aggressively move up to play the bouncing puck then missed).
3) Today's game, Juulsen pinched up to take give a body check and lead to a Nugent-Hopkins 2-on-1 with McDavid and scores.
This is not the disciplined, structured style of the Canucks. We need to be more aware than that and exercise more discipline. These were 3 unforced goals.

The Canucks are giving the Oilers a hell of a scare basically forcing Knoblauch to double shift McDavid and Draisaitl over playing them for nearly 30 minutes a game just to compete with Vancouver. and now its 2-2 no problem the fatigue will set in by game 5-6.
Both mcdavid and draisatil only played a little over 20 tonight.. separate lines for the most part too.
Mcdavid & Drai weren't even on a line tonight? If they have the ability to double shift 2 separate lines, that's far more worrying for Vancouver than it is for Edmonton. Fatigue isn't gonna set in if you can flex 3 lines within a game.

Letting that shot get through with multiple bodyâs in front of the net shouldnât happen. Had a feeling if this went to OT, Canucks wouldâve found some way to win. Anyways got the split, and now Canucks have to focus on game 5.

Canucks have been outplayed for all 4 games and yet still sit tied 2-2 without their Vezina-nominated goalie and Pettersson not playing either. Now imagine if both show up.
The Nucks only won 2 out 4 games so far due to shaky goaltending from the Oilers. If Pickard simply give the Oilers solid goal tending, they don't lose another game in this series. There, I fixed it for you.

Blueger has been good. Would rather see players like Aman, Lafferty, or Mikheyev out of the lineup. Put Hoglander and Podkolzin in.
@@vancitycanucks your ass is too focus on position rather than skills and facts. Hogs is miles better than Mikayev and Blueger and is a million times harder for opponents to play against. Switching them doesn't mean they have to play their position.

Series tied. It's still anybody's game. At first Vancouver look like they were the dominant team. But let's be honest game one we were lucky that they tilted and let us came back. Game two we just lost OT because of Cole. Game 3 we just destroyed them that's our first win. Game 4 we tied the game but then we just dropped it. Let's say we didn't win game 1 we would be down 3-1. Be grateful it's tied.
Gotta block more shots and stop going for the big hit only to give up an odd man rush... Hronek and petey don't look the best right now either. More of Joshua in front of the net on the pp. Put hoglander back in. Not fair to blame him when he's on a line with beta male petey
