I mean, we don't know if it works in that winter/frozen situation the first one was in. The door would have to be popped open hard enough to break the ice, not to mention the possibility of water freezing inside the latch itself.

@@callybarbsthat's why you gotta have one beater truck that has a push button and handle so you can yank that bitch open. I got a 95 f150 with that handle and I only drive it when it's frozen out. Remote start with the heater probably works but I don't know if the heater kicks on when started like the vehicles I have.
I think it’s adorable that the people manufacturing these don’t know that entire doors get frozen to the frame too.

@@emmamcg7761 the reason this isn’t actually a problem is when he opens the app you can litterly see the defrost car option you just remote start your car and it will melt the ice so that yes you can still open the door when ice freezes the whole door closed

@@dublinpatterson8200 that might heat the inside but not along the door crack because the rubber around the door helps to seal it i have automatic starter on a truck of mine let it run for 45min with heater running and it wouldn't melt the outside
