"I will shatter this silly little battlefield into dust. In a heartbeat...into dust"
Yep that's a Moffat line if I ever heard one
He's back. And this time, we know how lucky we are to have him.
@@LukasOfTheLight
You have summoned haters with that comment.
Yup and just like Moffat it's inconsistent with the rest of the Doctor's character. He's meant to be healed after the 60th.
@@jellybabiesarecool4657 healed means he's not carrying the trauma anymore. he's still The Doctor, and he can channel that part of himself if he needs to. accepting what happened does not mean you never remember.

Healed doesn't mean nothing fazes you:/ You are just over it in a way that no longer hampers your day to day life, but if something gives you a really bad reminder of the trauma, you will have a reaction.

does that mean galifrey is gone AGAIN? it seems to go and come back so often, is it gone or back?
@@jacksonmacmanus1001 Yeah, it's kind of annoying how each showrunner changes it. 2005, we learn that Gallifrey and the Time Lords were destroyed in the Time War. 2013, the Doctor saves Gallifrey from the Time War. 2020, the Master bombs Gallifrey, and any life left on the planet is later destroyed by the death particle.

"SPACE BABIES!"
Well, the Tardis speaks baby.
Hope the Doctor didn't forget.
Maybe that was a hint we never saw coming 🤔
since rory and amy couldn't understand their baby daughter but the doctor could this implies "baby" isn't a language in the tardis database but something the doctor learned on his own. now that i think back at it it's the same for him speaking to animals.@@oldRighty1

For a moment there I read it as "Gordon Freeman"
Nah, this is nu who, the companion will be fine. They always get written around anything that could mean they died. The fact that people still think that anything bad will happen to the c0mpanion is the definition of insanity at this point, cause it never happens.

The "This is what we are trying to stop" while looking at ruined wastelands makes me think that Russel will use either Sutekh or the Osirians as a whole in the finale, mirroring the "destroyed future" scene in Pyramids of Mars.
oh i WISH
Maybe Sutekh is The One Who Waits, although I expect that will be a plotline that runs throughout Ncuti's whole run, like The Time War and Silence Will Fall.

I have been a little worried, given what we have seen of Gatwa's doctor, that he wouldn't be able to nail the serious and dark moments like someone like Tennant or Capaldi. But this trailer has dispelled all that doubt. Gatwa has the potential to be one of, if not the best doctor ever, and I am SO here for it!
Potential to be better than Tom Baker and David Tennant?
@@user-hl1ex6py8l I haven't watched much tom baker, but I'd say so
@@oricalu448 Oh do yourself a favour go and watch his run on BBCIplayer. Once you have seen it then I think you will revise that opinion. The actor who plays Ruby from this trailer has the looks of Billie Piper and Jenna Coleman in 1. The blonde for Billie and the face for Jenna. Idk if anyone else sees it.
Honestly, when she sings in the Christmas episode, close your eyes and it sounds like Clara.

@@YaBoiJoosh Yea, and he was refeering to the star beast scene when they first see the interior.
I feel like they took a step back with this Tardis. (I know it's supposed to appeal to what the doctor likes.) but I think the Tardis kinda peaked at 12 & 13. Granted I really didn't like 13 at all. The tardis was cool.

@@V10l3t0rch1d Exactly - that was the whole point of the Tennant specials - to clear out the trauma and leave it to heal.
The “I will shatter this battlefield to dust” line put to rest my only concern with the new season, that the Doctor would not be as intense and sometimes dark after taking that time to process his trauma. I am so incredibly excited! I can’t wait to see more of Ncuti as the Doctor!
he's over his trauma but not forgotten .... he's just moved on from it
I do imagine it as that Ncuti Gwata's Doctor is fighting something from their past as the Timeless child working for The Division. With Tecteun dead and The celestial Toymaker imprisoned; a plethora of enemies and monsters are coming for the Doctor. Now I think people misinterpreted the toymaker's words during "The Giggle" episode of the 3 parter for the 60th anniversary, when he says he made a jigsaw of the doctor's history, it was more so the whole situation on that ship where those clones were playing with the Doctor (Tennant's 14th Doctor) and taunting him. But nothing would stop old enemies the doctor fought pre-Hartnell incarnation from coming out now to get vengeance on the doctor.
@@Robinx1985 no point in retreading Flucks. If you want villains from the doctor's history, better to just take them from classic who

Alright, I'll watch it Steven Moffat.
"I will keep her safe..". Ruby is soooooo screwed.... ;-P
Just a thought... What if, in the "Beatles episode", Ruby Sunday gets introduced to the Rolling Stones, and they get an idea for a song, but change it from "Sunday" to "Tuesday"? That's how I like the Doctor affecting history... inadvertently... ;-)
As in "mavity." I'm there for it, too :)
@@CeeTheJay Don't trigger me with that "mavity" crap... ;-P

Maybe, from that episode onwards, the lyrics, in-universe, will become “Ruby Sunday”?
What if she is the reason for Ruby Tuesday????? What if Ruby Sunday...just didn't sound right????
I don't think I've been this excited for a Doctor Who season since the end of the Matt Smith era. :D
I like how this Doctor likes to switch up his wordrobe. I think it was in the Matt Smith series where I came up with the theory that Timelords don't have body odour which is way they can wair the same clothes day in day out.
That... Kinda makes sense?
Fezzes are cool
You do realize that the Doctor doesn't wear the same outfit every day.He just wears the same style about for it every day right

There's probably going to be more cringing than ever in Doctor Who.
