    Never be fooled by what you see on the outside.
    If you’ve visited The Great Madras and experienced a culture shock of how seemingly unfriendly and unprofessional the staff are, you’re not alone.
    Horrible nightmare, from check-in to check-out. First time I have encountered such a bad customer service in Singapore. Or maybe I’m unfamiliar with the culture. Even for myself who’s a frequent traveller to Singapore.
    So pissed for the money I spent 5D4N hotel stay with this 3-Star Boutique Hotel in Madras Street Singapore. Booked the hotel through Agoda. There was an issue with their system and gave me the wrong hotel room that I booked. I'm here to tell everyone if you have the same issue like me (repeated incident to other people and me before), just contact Agoda CS asap. Don’t waste your time and ask the hotel front desk what to do.
    Long story short after all the drama. I just wanted to fall off the face of this earth and never return to Singapore again. Be prepared, manage your expectations. Thank me later.
    I understand that every society has its own societal and cultural norms that can be different from mine. Singaporean may seem unfriendly to my standards, but who knows, me Malaysians may seem impolite by Singaporean standards too. (Most of Malaysians are naturally friendly and even to strangers!)
    Manners maketh man. This ain’t a civics and moral lesson but as travellers, we’re ambassadors of our countries after all.
