In 1994 and 1995, the Heidelberger Strassen- und Bergbahn GmbH (HSB) purchased a total of 12 Duewag MGT6D trams.
These low-floor, bidirectional trams had the fleet numbers 261 to 272.
In 2005, the trams were transferred to the Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (RNV) subsidiary, which was founded in 2004 and in which the HSB has a 27.83% stake.
In this context, the trams were renumbered (No. 3261-3272).
