As the last producer to have a charting song with Michael Jackson while he was still alive, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins revealed that the entertainer always felt like people were against him. He described working with Michael Jackson in Ireland in 2007 and talked about the King of Pop being ahead of his time. He described the moment he found out about Michael Jackson's death and said Michael Jackson probably felt dead ten years prior due to the public's treatment of him during that time.

When he was not working, he wanted to have fun - water gun fights, pillow fights, watch movies, eat popcorn, play arcade games, etc. Unfortunately, he only found that mentality in children, not adults.
