- When it comes to Summernats burnout legends, Peter & Debbie Gray come to mind. They've been doing burnouts almost as long as burnouts have been around. JBens headed out to country Victoria to chat with them about Summernats, burnouts and their famous USA502 Chevy Camaro.
Don't forget to get your tickets to Summernats so you can see this and many other insane cars in person.

One year the fuel line blow off my Senator on the way home from Nats….I had no tools or nothing Peter and his crew stopped and fixed it…followed me for ages to make sure it was fix….Good eggs!!!
Pete and Deb are literally the most humble and down to earth people in the entire car scene. Have so much respect for yhe both of them.
Most humble people in the Summernats community
Pete took me for a ride last year then gave me his number, one of if not the nicest person in the burnout scene. It was my first time going for a ride in a burnout car and I was so happy when he said he’ll take me for a ride
HERO'S come & go, LEGEND'S never die.. Thankyou
Tassie boy here I can remember before our gov pulled out!, the two beautiful people you interviewing are two of the nicest burnout superstars I’ve ever met along with BLOKY , never been a massive fan of skids on pads I tend to move toward the more bogan sport of gutter to gutter rim smashin on the streets ( when I was 20 that is back in early 2000) but it’s an honour to have a pick of these two on our drag strip side by side , one of my favourites 🍻🍻😉
Summernats is a special place.
Was a even more special place when it went over new years.
How bloody awesome are these two. Faith restored, still really good Aussies around. All the best to the three of you for 24, thanks for sharing vid big fella.
I built a 1/24 revell monogram model of Peter and Debbie's Camaro during the tunnel rammed 454 matte black phase and showed them the car at Easternats.
They were blown away and for someone I looked up to when I was 12 to show so much interest and appreciation for a young kid was really special.
Debbie took me and my brother in the car for a demonstration burnout that day and our photo ended up in the Herald Sun, later on Peter took me in the car during the finals... Fast forward a year and I donated a version of the 502 to Peter and Deb at Springnats in Shepparton and went for another ride, still some of my fondest memories of cars, even after doing various motorsports in different cars.
Glad to see they're still doing what they do best, absolute legends of the scene!
WOW!!!! I remember that. I still have your model in my computer room. Trust me its moments like that that we will NEVER forget either. Thank you for decades of support. Best to ya...Pete n Deb.
@@petergray3002 glad to hear the model is still kicking Pete! Best wishes to you and Deb both!
Whoa! The steering wheel is on the right side of the Camaro! Super cool to see this interview from people that made the sport what it is!
Back in the 90s i did autocross... and Peter, Debbie, and Alan
(Peter's Dad.. the famous Alan from Terrain Tamer) all competed...
i was just a 15 year old playing around with a ke30 corolla and Peter came over 1 day and said "give us a look" and he spent a couple hours trying to get the best tune up he could do for me... Peter and Debbie were racing a very modified 1.3 litre ke20 ... and a few years later i built a holden red motor 6 cylinder powered ke20 corolla to race there...
and Debbie was still faster than me...😂😂 with a motor a 3rd the size of what i had....
The Whole Gray family will go way over and beyond to help out if they can...
Just by having a conversation with them you will know how humble they are
Thank you.... Alan, Peter, and Debbie... for my great memories and the many times you have helped me....
My dream is to visit summernats. Not easy to get there from the US
Just a plane ride bro. Do it
Cleetus and the guys made it a few years back with their cars
Just book a holiday
@@daddyslittlegirl1976 I will one day. I am finally entering one of cleetus events this year.
Legends
Mate I remember the first vacuum cleaner I owned it was a silver Nilfisk. Great little model, good suction and very portable. These days I've switched to a Panasonic, which offers more power and some great adjustable heads. It's true though like they mention in this video, you can't beat the old Nilfisk Vacuum Cleaners!
The Gray's don't get the credit they deserve. Everyone's like ohh Steve loader is a champ, or rick fuller is, even Gary Myles still gets credit but the Gray's have been up there since around 2001 but they seem to not get the credit for it.
Summernats 2001 & 2002 was the 4 car burnouts
Mad ! 👍
Wicked 👍
Wish we had a sumernats in the UK? ❤
Suppose front wheel drive burns could be come a thing
And Debbie also got Jessie (theshookon6) addicted to burnouts, didn’t she? I think was his first burnout car he hitched a ride with, and did a 180 off the entry in.
I have your car on bun out monsters Pete
