Welcome to my first video of 2020! Bonne année everybody! I hope you all had a wonderful time for the holidays!
I went backstage and talked to your favorite top models about how to walk, who teached them, and who they watched, admired and learnt from...
I talked to Camila Cabello, right after L'Oreal Paris asked her to do her first model walk on a runway!
And follow me at the Elite offices in Paris to witness how they teach the supermodels of tomorrow how to walk and burn the catwalks!
This is the first collaboration between two fantastic editors, Anthony Goujjane and Konstantin Maslakov!

No one:
Me during quarentine: learns how to model
lol
Me too
SAME!
How’d it go?
Naomi walks like a sexy panther.....she is 49 and walks better than all the current models shows how magnetic she is on the runway
Arjun Raju so very true.
No surprise. She is a woman, no schoolgirl.
@@danielwilliams4208 of course you had to make it about Naomi being black. What else.
You are sooo boring.
That s also how Panter (animal) is.
Wth 😳she's 49?? I thought 25
How is someone so creative enough to describe all the models’ walks
Exactly
Indeed!
I think Loic is pretty brilliant in what he's doing.
Loll
That’s why I love watching Loic’s videos. He’s so observant and descriptive. Details make all the difference.✨✨
I wanna have a walk that says "I HAVE SOMETHING TO DO"
I walk like that but it sure ain't a catwalk :(
Everyone has their own Unique Walk. I've been told my many people over the Years that I have a sexier runway walk. I was bullied Years ago in Junior High School, during the earlier 1980s for the walk. I can't helped it that is my Signature Walk. My motto have always been you either have it or you don't have it. And if you do have it walked proudly & graceful and who cares what others have to say.🙋🏾♀️
@@SisterFromAnotherPlanet ,I absolutely love your Profile Name. Because that is how I've have always felt by living on this toxic & exhausting Planet called Earth🌎🤦🏾♀️
I do, but it's more in my face. "😡".
Naomi "My mom was a ballet dancer, I was a ballet dancer"
Oh yeah that explains a lot.
Mica Arganaraz. Its not JUST your walk, its also your aura and personality you project. That is what makes her the best. She has the total package, not just one piece of it.
orgullo argentino carajo
Supertopmodel Mica Argañaraz!!👏👏
The one💎
thats a fact
I think this is so true!
I literally said “YES” when Anok Yai started runway walking with that background music at 6:35
gave me goosebumps!
THE SONG NAME?!
Keep respectful and jphorevvvycynhoonoy with other??
@@blackwidow2776 honor is kids and
Love on on on. The loving trail trail loo btraarsaill
These black models are too good omg 🥰
YES
Black models are runway they just know how to walk. It's rare for a black model both male and female to not be able to walk
ew....
You need rhythm to walk
Bc black girls have to work 2x as hard to get noticed unfortunately. But they are killing it! So mesmerising
When I watch Naomi Walk it legit gives me head and body chills. She is unbelievably fierce.
She moves from her lower abs. And connects in her hips and then translates to the rest of her body.
Comes from Ballet💖
Same here
naomi really inspires the new generation girls i love it
Only a few wre getting it
@@kgao7294 My thoughts exactly!
K Gao yeah some of those girls don’t walk like models
But only few are good
Even male models
Who else needed to get up and walk after watching this?
Yes!! Hahahaha!
😂😂😂
Me on a well chair: me
to the fridge…yeah!
I just went to throw out the trash and walked back practicing my walk 💀
Genius!!! That's the kind of reaction I want! The world is your catwalk! The trashcans are your first row! I mean, enjoy it!
@@LoicPrigent hahaha thank you!!!
I do the same !!! Haha
the fendi walk is the first time i’ve ever been impressed by kendall’s walk
I literally said “YES” when Anok Yai started runway walking with that background music at 6:35
Obv u haven't seen other walks by Kendall, she has come a long way from those awkward walks u see in those funny vid comps
I think she still look awkward 🤔
@@xfluffysoftsatanx5963 aww sure sweetie
probably last too
I think all models would benefit from taking ballet, to learn how to connect to movement. To learn how to follow through with their movements. To learn how to project, and to have breathe in their walk.
Watch professional ballet dancers. Watch how they follow through each movement.
It's why Naomi has such a powerful walk. She has learnt to articulate her body as one perfect movement. She is aware of how she is presenting. This comes from performance. Being on stage. To emote. To project. There is a character she is playing, and she knows how to turn it out.
If you want to have a walk, a fierce walk, take ballet.☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
def not ballet. when they walk it should be more relaxed and ballet it’s def not very natural and more “stiff”(idk can’t think of another word) . in ballet it is gracious and graceful but def very unnatural.
I totally agree and it will improve their posture. These model have such bad posture is so cringey to watch.
Karlie Kloss was a trained ballerina and you can really see it her walk
Nah bro contemporary or even Cunningham technique would be better , u dont really walk in classical but you walk a lot in the others , ballet can help with posture and elegance but contemporary will help with presence and flow
Take dance it's true ..yoga and tai chi as well ...true..movement alignment all that comes with awakening to the power of movement !!!
I'm not a model but I really wanna learn to walk like in the runway so that I can walk everywhere like a model, so fierce and confident
Adut’s walk is the best she is on her way to legendary. Kaia is also in that class. I love Vittoria’s walk also. The best of the young is Imaan.
Yes
Yes they’re all so amazing🌟Even though their walks are so different from each other they all manage to grab your attention and have this sort of indescribable presence on the runways. Especially Adut.😍🔥
You have exactly the same favorite models with mine
You just never get bored looking at Naomi, an absolute pleasure.
M late but yeah totally agree ♡♡♡♡
Tips for new model: Walk like Naomi, Body like Cindy, Face like Linda, Eyes like Christy, Pose like Claudia. Boooom.... and your will find yourself!!!
And talk like all of them!
Face like Linda??!!
saying: walk like Yasmeen Ghauri
Body like yasmeen ghauri
body like yasmeen ghauri omg
"When you walk on the runway you don't have friends anymore, you become this fashion machine" 😂😂 I love this man
Love the way you approach fashion on this channel, you just made the fashion world and models real, giving them a podium were they become human with ups and downs. Naomi is a goddess and an a inspiration, i am glad to see the respect she gets in the fashion world. Thank you
6:46 Anok Yai's walk is one of my favorites!! So much power in just a simple walk, I never noticed the individuality before
❤️
woahhh when Mica switched walks for different houses! I've never noticed the differences! :o
yeah, that was actually
a great idea to show us all variants
“There’s no walk of the season; There’s a walk of the reason.” 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I like this mica girl
“My mother taught me how to walk” ❤️
This video was so eye opening 🙂 I didn't know that each brands had their own preference of walking. I just thought that obviously if it's couture you're gonna walk like you're on clouds versus any other runway shows
the BEAUTY of mica argañaraz is something off this world, you all have to acklowledge that
The fact that you distinguish between different eras of the Naomi walk--what a scout!
Adut Akech Bior, Yasmin Wijnaldum & Kaia Gerber are the new queens of catwalk (IMO)
@@sojtayong5466 kaia is great Yasmin is too much
definitely akech and kaia but i don't love yasmin's walk tbh
@@cgm530 I find Yasmin's walk quite authentic actually but then again this is my personal opinion. That being said i agree about the terms "too much" it's true lol. Another model who shares this strong intimidating & overconfident walk is definately the rising korean model SoRa Choi.
Yasmins walk is horrendous. She does wayyyyyy too much.
Sky P sorry but have u seen models from the old ages they use their hips a lot
I really miss the 90s twirl at the end 😭😭😭
Adut baby girl. That walk. A masterpiece.
OMG Naomi is eternal! 👑
Bring back the iconic and glamorous 90s walk again!
Que c'est rafraichissant 💫
Belle année à vous Loïc ! 🌈🧚🏼♀️🥂🍾
@@soanemoa2191 😉🙌🏼
in my mind I’m as fierce as all these models, in reality I’m as clumsy as the guy in the background at 1:39
Loved this, thank you for posting. No one is mentioning, Sonia Cole, Katoucha, Yasmeen Ghuari, Karen Mulder , Shalom , Beverly Peele, Nadage, Helena, Gisele.... The list goes on.
Helena Christensen ?? You must be joking....she couldnt even walk in heels back in the days and still cant....Shes stiff ASF
Came here to say Yasmeen Ghauri. IMO she was the only 90s model who truly rivaled Naomi walking-wise.
People are ditching the first asian supermodel Anna Bayle
I love these analysis of their walks, ya'll really did your homework!!!
The Mica fall at Prada started the friendship between Julia Nobis and Mica. Love it
No one can walk it like Naomi , but good luck to everybody
My thoughts exactly! 😂😂
Of course not, Naomi’s walk is one of a kind. That’s why each model has to develop their own signature walk.❤️
i love how Mica works. I love her walk and her attitude. I love how she’s something new, and how we can see the Argentinians traits in her
Gigi: I got lessons from Naomi.
The World: You get an "F".
Alen_Egre T i meaaaan... she's a D now lol
And she needs to tone up. I´m not saying loose weight!
OUCH!
F+
She's doing better than previously year tbh, still think that she's better than Kendall Jenner...
now I can see why ballet can help with posture and walk...no wonder Naomi's walk is so amazing!
Exactly! Ballet! Ballet! Ballet!
“Rome, history, civilization... What is that?” Best film about the art and rules of the catwalk ever‼️I may not watch this 100 times but I may reach 10.❤️
18:03 It's so amazing to see how fast their facial expressions change. So professional.
Who's the Queen of the catwalk? She is known by many names: The Great Mother, The High Fashion Priestess, Goddess of Ultimate Beauty and Power, Ruler of the Runway, Queen of the Catwalk, The Jewel of Jamaica, The Model Supreme, The Superest of the Supermodels, The God Among Peasants, The Knight of the Round Runway, THAT Bitch, Blessed by God and Highly Favored, Her Excellency, First of Her Name- NAOMI CAMPBELL!!
I love that walks impact decades so much. In the nineties you had to be feminin it was almost very cliché but now we live in a time where gender is in the center of the debate. So models in Vuitton Balmain Celine or Saint Laurent Dior embodied confident women with strong walk and fierce gaze ✊🏾
the Naomi praise is WELL deserved.
“No cloning anymore of one model over another one” 🥰
It is the walk . It is the attitude . It is the physic . It is a all package . You are a model or you are not .
I just spend 34 minutes of my life to watch a video teaching me how to walk
Naomi Campbell is spectacular, outstanding, in every way, the way her body moves so fluid, and her gorgeous face, and walk the absolute finesse
Anok Yai's walk is fire?!?!!!!
Fire!
Anok yai is perfection 😍
She is!
idk why i'm in love with modeling
Where was this channel my whole life
I'm so proud of Mica ♥️🇦🇷
I've wanted to be a model since I was 6 and now I'm 18 but 5'3 so I was slowly letting go of the dream but all these modeling videos are recommended to me ahhh
Im akso 18 and 5'3 and honestly ill never be a model but im just so in love with all of this ... we can only dream ...
you can still do modeling for catalogs and stuff like that!
@@dove797 that’s what kind of modeling I want to do!! I don’t want to do runway even though it looks completely amazing I don’t think I’d be any good 😂
I do runway and had a growth spurt in my early 20s. Don't lose hope! I graduated high school at 5'4 and am now 5'8-5'9
" If your walking in Rome, past the Colosseum, you don't even look it, you just keep walking...." 💖 Loic you crack me up.
I just love watching your video's because your ridiculously funny. You get away with saying crazy things in your French accent, that Americans could never say. Because of your playful, light hearted ways💖
All the Loves, from Canada
Feel like I just got a Masterclass on walking for free. Merci Loic!
Loic you are a gift from heaven, your videos are masterpieces. All fashion lovers thank you for your commitment in the fashion industry. You honor every designer’s vision and make it into awesome videos. You’re so warm towards models and you give us anecdotes that we wouldn’t expect, it gives a more relaxed side to Fashion. It’s a no brainer that you’re passionate and that’s inspiring to see.
Loic your commentary is the right mix of respect and humour and makes me smile. Hello from Australia.
Hello Carolyn! Merci! :)
Comment avez vous appris à marcher ?
Bah, en étant à Paris pendant une grève.
C'est la marche "bordel! fait chier! sur le site de la ratp ce bus devait être en service" je l'ai pratiquée hier soir, on adore.

Salut. Can I ask u for za translation , pretty please ?!
@@rushdialrashed9627 how did you learn how to walk ?
By being in Paris during a strike.....
Loving Mika! ❤️
I love the little homey comment Ms Campbell mentions about her mother showing her how to walk, I am sure her mum's balletic background influenced her daughter a long time before the modelling years. My mother did try in vain to teach me how to walk (stop looking at the ground Jennifer!) but, it actually was my maternal grand father who showed me how to walk in court shoes as I was slip-shodding, clip-clopping almost falling over myself hanging onto furniture for dear life. And this was just a formal portrait family photo affair lol. He was the most masculine fellow-served in the british navy in ww2, migrated to Australia, served in the Australian Army in the Korean war as well. Very mechanically minded. Its funny to reminisce about stray moments in your life and you think about how big an impact your family has on you. Btw, I still think of what he told me when he showed me how to walk. When I am in the mood, I walk just like how my Poppy showed me❤️❤️❤️
This made my day 🥺
This makes me wanna walk. They look like they're going on a huge mission
Woah I'm surprised at how good at French some of these models at Elite are (since they don't originate from a French-speaking country).
raymond Well Diara is from Senegal which is a wolof and French speaking country, Mika is a French and japanese model and there is a lot of French Jew people in Israel so actually it makes sense
@@estellendjandjo7594 ooh, I didn't know all that. Thanks for the info
Micas killing it,she's a real beauty herself.....congrats Mica!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍🌸🌸🌸🌸
The last 15 minutes was the best part! I didn't realize there were so many moves for walking. I need to work on my posture 😅
I love that everyone understands that Naomi Campbell is truly a natural. Mesmerizing walking goddess.
Best walkers ever are : Naomi, Shalom, Yasmeen, Carla, Giselle,......Now the best walkers are adut and kaia....

I love Mika!! Big personality 💜I’m walking like “I’m going to fuck shit up”😂
I enjoy your channel so much it’s unbelievable
for me Yasmeen Ghauri is Queen catwalk forever 👸🏼😍
Loic I love this. Very happy to see something outside of your runway explanations (love those too). It's quite different from other types of fashion coverage we see today.
raymond I Love it too !! It is original and fun !
your final speech. love it
Thank you for watching until the end !
Only Naomi walks... The rest, we crawl.
This video is a crash course on how to model, and the lessons are free! Merci!!
6:36 I love how the music switchwhen Anok Yai walks beautifully

1. Naomi
2. Natasha Poly
3. Mariacarla Boscono
4. Yasmeen Ghauri
5. Marpessa
6. Vlada
7. Carmen Kass
8. Coco Rocha
9. Caroline Trentini

PatisserieBoy and Adut
PatisserieBoy what about candice swanepoel, she’s easily one of the most beautiful women and with her signature hip swaying walk
what about Cindy Crawford?
Shalom Harlow!!
Giselle..
Naomi does know how to walk and walking super, but I would also say another nearly super model- Karlie kloss, as she use to be a ballet dancer, she walks really like elegant cat on the runway. Really love it.
It is so sads and strange that the agencies take these models into their roster and do not even teach walking, which is one of the fundamentals of modelling. Every professional agency should have fundamental training on walking, basic posing, using hands. Glad to see that some of them started training programs, at least on walking.
LOL. This is one of the dumbest comment I've ever read.
The closing monologue is such a beautiful way to describe the walk.
Anok Yai est magnifique mon dieu :o
For me: Best walk - Gisele and Naomi!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
14:02 GOD, she is ICONIC. Imagine just sitting and chatting with a friend and every single camera and microphone is aimed at you bc you are so instrumental...
Akech bior, yes. Loved it. And the girl who opened the show as well! Of course, Naomi is the catwalk’s goddess. Felt that powerful strut from them the most.
I died when Naomi said my mother taught me how to walk.
Mica arganaraz: The walk that says “I have something to do!” 😂
Loïc, c'est un style inimitable, de l'humour , parfois cynique, de la connaissance, de la passion , une réputation, maîtrise du drama, french accent , talent...bravo une vraie fashion machine comme il dit!
There needs to be a male version of this too
Thanks Loic, I'm now catwalk-ready.
My mood for this quarantine is one Loic Prigent's documentary each day of this quarantine.
Bravo Loic and team!
Learned more here than in 5 years of watching next topmodel as a drinking game with friends
bruh i LOVVVE mica's walk, i cant believe she thinks she doesnt know how to walk. she carries herself with the floating grace of an elf in lotr
I can’t wait for the moment the 2000’s style of walking (Natasha,Vlada, Mariacarla etc) comes back in fashion 🤩
Super vidéo comme d’hab
mika really slayed every walk
What a gift for Gigi can be taught by the legendary Naomi ❤
too bad the result dissapoints. too bad...the lesson was a waste
your sum up at the end - so intense, so tragic, so true and yet i love it so much
yasmin, mica and sora choi are powerhouses!
Natasha, Maryna, Magdalena, Trentini, Yulia K...those were top Catwalkers
mica is so pure
love how most models watched naomi and cindy on youtube... and cindy is kaia’s mommy and naomi was her trainer!
Lissandra Freljord i meant, models use cindy as reference for whatever reason.
