The Phantom Carriage is excellent and worth seeing, as Criterion have released it for us. I’d love to see the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde that you covered, but I don’t know if it’s been released by any label? It’s always sad to hear that clearly interesting films are currently considered lost. While some will hopefully be discovered from some long forgotten place, many will not. I’m always reluctant to act like some kind of policeman, but I’ve noticed that on an earlier video, and now this one, that you pronounce ‘dystopian’ as though it has an extra ‘a’ in it, thus ‘dyastopian’. I’ll leave it there.
I did find a DVD copy of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on the John Barrymore 4 disc collection on Amazon but can't speak to its quality. And I do have a terrible habit of mispronouncing dystopian which I'm trying to correct as I make new videos. Thanks so much for watching.
Hi. I’m covering the 20th century so far. I’ve covered 1900 through 1926. I’m hoping to cover more contemporary films and topics soon. Thanks for watching.
@@marswantsmovies I admit that I have not watched the entire series. But, Are you familiar with An Italian silent film entitled: The Mechanical Man" only a few pieces of film are in existence, but it is a groundbreaking robot vs. man story.
Greetings. I realize I say dystopian in a strange way. I'm correcting the mistake in future videos. Thanks to everyone who pointed it out to me.
so interesting to see not only old movies but also the history and how it affects things
Agreed!
It's interesting how much they were doing over 100 years ago in film.
Another great video. Loving how packed with additional facts this series is rather than just reviewing or listing the movies.
Looking forward to more.
Glad you enjoyed it! I love talking about history and this is a fun way to do it.
Glad you are making these - keep 'em coming!
Agreed! 😀😄😸
@@buffymcmuffin5361 me too!
Another excellent piece of work, Madam!
Love how "Caligari" influenced Rob Zombie's "Living Dead Girl" video
These are WONDERFUL! BRAVO! BRAVÍSSIMO!
Liking. How do you decide which movies to include? Sad that so many of these early films are lost (for now)
El Zorro was one of the first superheroes, and he did it with style.
Take THAT, Dc & Marvel.
"Metropolis" (1927) "The Lost World" (1925)
I appreciate the thought and detail you put into your videos. Illuminating!
Thank you for your support. Have a wonderful day.
Informative and entertaining. Nice work, I must say.
Much appreciated!
Rad!

Is there a list of episodes available, or are you only covering the early 20th century?
