Always best to keep in mind the signature ability. If it’s best at sig 200, then the rank 5 would be a better choice than the 7 star.
Angela should definitely at least get a mention. She was my first rank 5. She is a 7 star, but the sig is ridiculously good, and really benefits from being high sig. She’s my go to for so much, being so simple to use, with so much damage. She’s actually my favorite Maw counter (can’t be nullified, parry non contact to get in heavies easily), which I’m sure has confused many battleground opponents

She’s extremely underated. She handled a ton of the EOP challenges when they were getting released (not the latest gauntlet version, different tags). She’s incredibly versatile. One of my favorite R4s for sure

I pulled science 4-5 gem from 8.3 and used it on Torch. My 2nd r5 science after Scorpion. I don’t expect to see Torch as a 7* and I think r5 is important for champs like Torch and Archangel to keep up with the ranked up 7*s.
“Don’t be an idiot” is my favorite response to people saying champs are “trash now cuz of nerf” 😂

I am very happy to say I finally have some of these tip champs at r3/4 ready to line up for my first r5. In each top category ive got 3, 1, 3, 2, 1, 1 of them respectively and atm the top candidates for my first r5 are Apoc, Doom, Hulkling or maybe Galan.

Galan was my first r4 and he maybe doesnt need the r5 as mucn. I FINALLY just got Doom and hes amazing. Apoc and Hulkling are my war MVPs though so its probably gotta be one of them
If anything I'd say Galan "needs" it the most
Cuz everything scales of his base Attack rating that's why I was thinking of Ascending him too
Now I have to work on Kate And Zemo for Necropolis so he'll have to wait
I really love Doom tho and I finally have him as a 6 Star after 3 years of hunting him so he will very probably be my First r5 mystic

I think you should differentiate between the ones in the basic vs titan, incursions, and loyalty crystals. Because it is easier to get basics vs the others

I’m really surprised hit monkey and Elsa bloodstone aren’t in at least debatable like they would hit so hard and Elsa has great utility and hit monkey has some aswell
Juggernaut is a cheat code he should be in great or arguably top plus I think long shot should be in at least debatable my man does a loooot of damage and is just solid you can kill characters like Galan with sp1 spam ah you put him in at the end lmaooo Mike go get some sleep man!
And I think rocket should be in the same spot as warlock considering they’re so similar rockets just a bursty him hulk buster is a top option absolutely

great list. I feel like there are a few of omissions...Masacre, Joe Fixit (his sig really matters), Ronan.
I haven't played 6 Fixit, but have a sig 20 7r2 and he crushes things.
@@theshinydome1992 Nick136 has a really good video on Joe's sig. Joe is really good at low sig but he will be even better at high sig. Mine is at sig 40 and I totally agree with you. He crushes everything.

Can someone please educate me on current Baron Zemo? I don't understand the hype or how to get any real damage out of him. Stack so many bleeds but they barely do anything. To me he only seems good on defense.
Use him for bleed immune champs, see the furies stack upto 15, giving insane damage

Hey mike why did they give Sandman a good buff just to nerf it down DLL made a video on his buff and he looked great then 2 weeks later nick136 came out with a video and Sandman looked the exact same he did b4 he got buffed lol im just very confused as to why they had to change it he actually looked pretty promising in DLLs video lol
His buff wasn’t “nerfed” before it was released.
That’s a ridiculous thing for anyone to say.
This is why I don’t make videos while buffs are in beta - because they aren’t fully finished & tuned after the beta.
The version launching next month is almost exactly the same as it was 2 weeks ago, with the heavy proficiency bonus extended to 8 instead of 5. His buff is incredible & doesn’t look anything like he does right now.

quick question for you. Which r5 would be more useful in BGs this season: CGR or Hulkling?
I was all set to r5 Hulkling, but I feel the current BGs meta will kinda make cosmic class weak because of how many mystics will be in peoples decks this season. Due to this, I figured I might as well rank 5 CGR, a champ that I really like, and want to rank up because I feel he is less likely to come as a 7* than Hulkling. What do you think?

Honestly. I took him down a purify path somewhere and was hitting 170k mediums and just ending fights in 30 seconds. Insane.
Honestly Zemo goes into debatable for me. He was overhyped at release and I don’t think you can make a case for him in the top five debate. Not saying this is a bad thing, but I think this is just Mike showing his bias towards the champion.

I think the 7 star is a very valid reason. It does take one more tier 6 and tier 3 to go to r5. But one less class tier 6.

I opened a Titan and got Shang. I like him. But wasn’t using him often so rank 3. So that felt good.
It’s not a hard and fast rule. A consideration. BTW rank 2ed my Spider Gwen. No regrets. So versatile so much fun. The relic essentially makes her buff immune and even better power control and was already great.
I’d put her with the relic as debatable as a 6 star. With caveat available as 7.
Also Falcon is tremendous. Such a great design. Simple but awesome. Like AA, like Torch. Man deserves great option IMO.

Hit Monkey belongs in the Skill Top Champions. Not even being listed at all is a travesty.
I got Captain America CW. Nothing special to me tbh, he is just sitting in the bench rn. I almost got Mojo or HB wich i concur are better than CA bz they can to more things than CA. HB also hits really hard and he doesn't need to be dup to gain a huge bonus, the power control is absurd too. Mojo is just great against Cosmic champions that gain buffs and those expire and he also nullifies them and the degen is solid. CA to me only hits hard without the dup.
