    I have been watching your videos over the last few days since discovering your channel and have added some of them to my play lists.
    I was wondering where you spent most of your childhood. Did you grow up in Spain or Latin America? If in Latin America what country? Your pronunciation is very good and I assume you are a native speaker.
    Your video work is very good and goes into greater detail than most other videos I have watched. I live in California and am a native English speaker (California Dialect) with a hint of midwestern American accent I get from my parents who moved our family here when I was two years old.

      Eric Baugher Hi Eric. First at all, thank you so much for such a comment. It makes me happy 😊
      I’m from Venezuela 🇻🇪 in South America, so yes, I’m a native Spanish speaker. I moved to the USA in 2017, and I’ve been living in Atlanta since then.

    Hola🙋🙇 paula Què tal? can you tell me.. in past progressive how we use preterite and imperfect 🙂 what is difference & their rules and exception 🙂🙏

    • @SpeakSpanishWithPaula
      @SpeakSpanishWithPaula  Před 4 lety

      ¡Hola! Muy bien. ¿Y tú cómo has estado?
      It’s a topic I have to cover in more detail in a video, but, we use the imperfect progressive basically for talking about what someone was doing when something occurred. Estaba hablando por teléfono cuando alguien tocó la puerta. (I was talking on the phone, when someone knocked on the door)
      The preterite progressive is used to talk about something that was going on at some point in the past. Estuvimos estudiando todo el fin de semana (we were studying all weekend).
      😊😊

    Voy yo or yo voy = same?

    • @SpeakSpanishWithPaula
      @SpeakSpanishWithPaula  Před 3 lety +2

      It’s not the same, there’s a slight difference. If you say “yo voy” is because you’re going somewhere. We use “voy yo” when we’re referring that it’s our turn to do something.
