This VERY in-depth Cricut Design Space for Beginners tutorial shows you how to use the software on your iPhone and iPad. You explain things very well. Thank you. My problem is, I don’t have the same icons in the corners. You show the “lock”, “rotate”, etc and I just have plain squares that just adjust width, height, etc.

I love your videos. I just got a Maker as a gift and I’m trying to understand Design Space. I’m am trying to follow along but my Cricut app doesn’t look like yours. I have the most recent upload. Do you know if they updated the app? Actually what you are using is much more intuitive. The one I’m seeing is not great. Do you have a updated video? Thanks.
Design Space has ben updating a lot, which is awesome because it means more new features, but it also means updates. Visit my channel and sort by date to find the MOST up to date information we have. 😊🌻

Hi, Jennifer, I make stickers on my Cricut. On the desktop DS app, I can cut my registration marks and go back to the canvas to move the sticker outlines to more closely match my printed designs. (I don't use Print-Then-Cut. I have my own system.) However, on my iPad, it looks like I have to unload the mat to get the app to go back to the canvas. This is a hit-or-miss situation because many times when I have to reload the mat, the machine doesn't always load it back exactly the same. Although, I have to say it does much better than other home hobby cutting machines I've used. Anyway, I just thought you might have a work around to let me get back to the canvas on my iPad without unloading the mat. Thanks for your videos! Kathy

Hello, thank you for your lesson. One thing I have a problem with is when I select the image. Ilthe icon / boxes are empty and I don’t see the rotate/lock etc. How do I put them to show up on the icon like yours ?

Hi Jennifer , this is a great video , but with my design space , when I put the heart image in, I do not have have those icons on the box when I have the image selected, it just has four squares

Hello Jennifer.I have been making 4 rectangles on piece of paper. When I told it to make it, it turned the rectangles the wrong direction. Because of the design on the paper I needed it cut like I made it. I did see rearrange and turned the 4 rectangles.
I made one earlier and it set up the cuts the right direction. I was confused about why it changed the direction. Should I attach them maybe?

Yes, group them together and then click attach so it stays the same for the cut.

I do not have the icons around the image - just blank boxes with a double arrow below to turn the object. Do you know why? Your image has it…thank you! I have that also. I am thinking it may be a glitch and will be fixed on their next scheduled maintenance May 6th.

So when I make a shape I get no lock button etc, I just get the outer ring I can’t manipulate the shape precisely! How do I get the other options around an object?

I love your videos. I started using my iPad Pro, but cannot find the green box to click to start a new project. I started with a saved project, it when I wanted to start a new project I could not figure out what button to push. It would not even let me do another saved project because it just brought me back to the first project.

The design space is not great with the ipad, most of the stuff is missing, you cant nearly do as much . How do you make stickers with it? Contour is a pain

hello... i am trying to help my daughter with understanding how you cut fonts on cricut when using an iphone. the fonts (regardless of which one you pick to use) appear as outlines when you go to make them. i just dont get how this works when you use your phone.
on my iphone the corners of my image only has square boxes to unlock i have to use the menu bar
If you pay for the fonts, how long do you have access to them? Just the one time you are designing a card?
Once you purchase a font it is yours to use whenever you want.
Is there a limit (size and/or number of projects) per user in the Cricut cloud? Is it your personal cloud limit for your device or separate with Cricut? Thank you. Great tutorial.

How do you find templates on iPad
Templates are not currently available in the Design Space App (iOS/Android).
When I go to next on my iPad (to cut) I get a pop up that says “select an accessory” but there is nothing to select.
I have been searching your channel and website but have not found what I am looking for yet (I have found a billion other things that have been absolutely wonderful.) But I really want to draw something myself and then have it cut on my Cricut. Will someone please help direct me. I have watched sooo many videos and am clueless and getting sad and frustrated. My iPad has a totally different Design Space header….has there been some kind of update to the program since you made this tutorial? There is no header in my design Space….only footer and when I click on the font box the four corners do not have all the features you show….I can only size the font.

The class is teaching me so much, Thank You. The only thing on my android phone when uploading it dosent give me the browser file suggestion is it because I am using windows 10 and do I need to upload windows 11 to be able to do my uploads. Also when I first went to change file to a svg file it would not import. Help what am I doing wrong.
Make sure that you open the folder before you upload. Windows 10 should work as well.

I’ve worked through this video on my iPad twice. When I want to ‘make it’ it says I need to buy the fonts. I’ve doubled checked and the one I used is free so are the ones you used a paid font?
Free fonts change, and what was free when I made this video may not be free now.

What year is your software please? I just downloaded Cricut Design Space and it is different then yours. I have a Cricut Joy and when I am trying to do the print and cut hack for the Joy I do not get a print button anywhere. I have tried so many times and gone step for step making sure I am doing it like you do. If the software is updated could you make a new tutorial? I know it takes a long time but for us newbies it would be so great if we could follow along with you, as it is now we have to look around to find the button to tap on and sometimes they have it called another name. I do have the Cricut Design Space software downloaded not the other Cricut softwares except the Cricut Joy software. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You do a great job on your videos…thank you.

The new window option is available under Cricut Design Space> New Window

Not in Design Space. You can do that in Illustrator or Inkscape. 💕

Are you using the latest version of Design Space?
I have had some issues on my iPad about not being able to turn the mirror switch on before completely the task I need. Still not sure what's going on.
The toggle switch won't turn on? I believe there was maintenance in Design Space just recently.
When I highlight the heart the four corner squares are blank, they dont have lock or any of that in them. Also the yellow line dont show. I have uninstalled design space and reinstalled several time and it still dont work. Any suggestions? DS is updated still nothing.
When you highlight it on my iPhone it not showing the lock or anything in the corners but you can still drag and change the size and rotate the item. It must have changed in a recent update.

You need to make sure you are using enough heat and pressure. If you are using Cricut vinyl then use the Heat guide to help you cricut.com/en-us/heatguide 🥰

I having trouble. I followed you instructions every step, however when I try to ungroup it will not ungroup. I’m using I Phone 15.2.1.
Make sure what you are ungrouping is selected in the layers panel.
I am new to cricut and i am using my iphone when i get to the step to add the text it does not pull up the insert font that is in your video
Make sure you select "all" so you see all Cricut fonts and any you have on your device🥰
