- English teacher Penelope Campbell loves her annual summer vacations visiting her Grandma Dot, despite Dot’s constant attempts to set her up with every single man in town. This year, she bumps into Jason Humphrey, none other than her childhood sweetheart, who is still as handsome and charming as ever. It’s a little awkward at first but the conversation soon turns to Jason’s own Grandma Sophie, who keeps doing the same to him! In order to evade the efforts of their matchmaking grandmothers, they make a pact pretending to date each other, but will the old sparks return?

Why do they always wait till the last few minutes to conclude the story? It's such a rush and you can't enjoy the good ending much.
It's typical ending from fairytales about princesses - kiss and sometimes even wedding.
I always wondered too 😢.
These are designed to teach us how to let go of the ego driven selfish behaviour, including us pursuing careers instead of love, aka what really matters in life, since most of us have fallen from grace, hence the focus is so much on the build up.. Once we suss it out in our own lives, the ending is the easy bit to do, we don't need lessons for that part.. 🙏🤗❤️

@@Luisa-cs2pdno, it's exactly opposite. If they care/love they do not meddle into your life. This is an example of egocentrism, they think they know everything better. Or sometimes it's because of religion. Trust me, in life, it wouldn't end up like in romantic movies.
