omg when the run japanese ver. came out we went crazy with screenshots and zooming in. those words in the background gave so much "hints" about the BU. it referenced future songs that weren't released back then, some qoutes from literatures that they took inspirations from and many more!! it was so crazy and still gives me goosebumps thinking about it until now. if you were on armytwt around this time, everyone is just zooming in on those words and creating theories and predictions. OMG THE PREDICTIONS. sometimes they were right on the mark, sometimes they're so far but it was the best part of being an ARMY back then. it was so fun, everyone worked together to put everything together.

Oh yeah! Run Japanese and BS&T Japanese sent us into a frenzy! I still communicate with friends from back then. I think the BU was a big part of why Army is so close and communicative. We had to work together to try to figure it out. It was so fun!

The ONLY thing I would like to suggest is that, whoever the Army is that's helping you with the summary, should be giving you the Subtitled versions! There was some dialogue and things u missed that are EXTREMELY important! I Really hope with wings you get the subtitles because they are needed for what's coming! Tysvm for your reactions! @@s.susanmarandi9080 In the BU universe, each of the bts members has different characters and life stories, for example, if I remember correctly, Taehyung has a conversation with a police officer in the Wings Stigma Short Film. I think they will understand the course of the story much better if they watch these conversations with English subtitles. I explained it a little complicated, but if you go and watch it, you will understand what I mean. I think you will understand well

whoever is helping you with the bu i hope they either give you videos with subtitles or tell you what the members say afterwards. because what was said/seen in the prologue was short but important. what taehyung says in his short film at the end directly connects with another member’s short film. and it’s also something that somewhat parallels the prologue video

@@s.susanmarandi9080 in the prologue namjoon writes “you gotta survive” in the mirror that they were questioning since there is no translation. in taehyung’s short film he asks for a call at the end and they also ask him questions about his life which they won’t know unless there’s subtitles. not only are the questions important to finally know about his character, the call he asks for directly connects with another member’s short film. plus in the prologue he also calls someone which a parallel to both of those short films
Really wished that whoever is helping them would've sended the subtitled versions. They're fan made subtitles but it's so so important to know what they're writing and saying

That maze is just a metafor. They are clearly lost when separated. You see Suga with a lighter, J-Hope with pills, Jimin is all wet, etc.

Rewatching these BU vids with you guys reminded me how well BIGHIT was able to not only drop hints abt the storyline itself but also drop hints abt the upcoming eras. You really don’t realize until you get to the next era and look back on this stuff.

To summarize, the BU involves a fictional storyline that has all the BTS members playing their own character. These characters have their own backstory, but they all connect in some way. If you see certain scenes or symbols repeating in BTS' music videos, that's because fans concluded the story involves some very shocking stuff that I ain't spoiling, you have to figure the story out yourself😂.
It can be difficult trying to differentiate which videos are part of the BU, but according to fans, those that belong to this world will have the words "BU content certified by Big Hit Entertainment" at the bottom of the video's description. Me too ,It feels like finally they finished a journey of suffering together and when the mv was giving flashbacks of other mv where they were fighting with their feelings it feels really sad ,and they finished the sorrows with this song and found each other again

6:20 Jin Japanese sound so good. He got the best pronunciation. He sounds like a real Japanese speaker. This part here is not easy to sing for a non-Japanese, but jin sings so beautifully. His voice suits Japanese songs. King of Japanese songs for a reason. Hope to see ccw react to other Japanese songs soon.

I was so invested in the BU before and still everytime i see these videos it’s so crazy how many details are there and knowing those details while watching it after so many years is a crazy feeling
It's amazing how they started the story here. but went all the way back to the Red Bullet VCR and incorporated it into the story.
The Maze is something simbolic, even when it doesnt appeared again into the storyline, also all of them getting out of that maze and walking together is also simbolic.

I would say it was his father as well. In this part of the story, each father of each character has a pretty significant role in how they grow up. Taehyung in particular, a lot of his HYYH era part focuses on his father. His mother doesn't come up until later.

Watching your reactions to the BU makes me feel so nostalgic. I first came across BTS around the end of the HYYH era and I was hooked because of all the theories and analysis, it was all so new and exciting! And confusing 😅 I remember one of the most popular theories at that time was something about jin being like a Peter Pan figure for the boys. And about who among the boys are alive and who weren't, were they just figments of imagination? Are some of them not real? Are any of them real?! It was WILD. I miss making theories like this!
Yes, the clothes sharing is significant. Like you noticed, RM and V's characters both have Nirvana shirts. If you go back to the scene of Suga in the motel room, Jungkook's shirt (that he wears a bunch through the BU) is hanging on the wall.

All the events of the “Save Me” webtoon are similar to the events that happened in era, hyyh, but with more depth and better detail and understanding of the events, but what is important for me is that there is a clip of Jin in the BS&T music video, the Japanese version, and you will not be able to understand this clip unless you read the webtoon.

I joined in 2022 as an army ...so technically i joined in their solo era...and hence i was never part of any kind of bu era not hyyh not wings not anything...... I just watched the mv's and then directly the bu explanation by xceleste(i had to watch it twice to understand tho😅) ....but with u guys i am also able to be a part of the bu from beginning ,thinking about my own theories and listening to yours and connecting them and finding small things i missed......so thanku for making these videos and diving in bu.. its all thanks to u that i am catching upon the times i have missed..... thanku ccw 💜💜

Hello i love you guys so much and enjoy your vidoes and look forward to them a lot. I have been an army for about 2 years but i haven't really tried to figure out the BU storyline becuase there is too much and i didnt know where to start so i have been jumping round everywhere so its exicting to go through this with you guys.
When I was first learning about the BU I would think that the pairings represent couples because of YoonKook and them being close but afraid to say something to one another due to the fear of ruining the friendship.
I'm watching the storyline again with you, it reminds me of when I saw it for the first time and I love it. On the other hand, I really hope that when you see the short films and the main videos they have subtitles (not because of the lyrics of the music), it's just that some will have dialogues or phrases that are important, it's just a recommendation for a better understanding.
