One of my favorites so far ! Cheers from Brazil !😉
Fantastic video, Cliff. I hope we see a Balzac review sometime in the future!
another fabulous review and film (love the vibes roasting music)
Enjoyed your review today. I am a coffee drinker myself. This made my Monday. Hope you have a great day!
Oh this is great, I always wanted to get more in depth with my coffee experience
I love both your channel and James Hoffman’s as well! At first I thought this was too good to be true.
Great video Cliff. Definitely gave me a birthday/Early Christmas present idea for the wife, who loves her java.
Loved this content!
Ps: when I was in engineering school I visited a coffee industry (In Brazil, there are as many as can be) and the smell is something that never leves you. I highly recommend visiting one to every coffee lover.
Great video mate!
I see The Musical Brain on your shelf next to Catch-22. Great book, I just finished it yesterday. The cover alone is worth it.
I take my coffee like my magick
Watching this at 12 midnight and now I want a coffee. No sleep tonight .. maybe I'll just read a book 👍.
Covfefe
This is the greatest crossover episode in my mind
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm a major tea drinker , any tips on how to make a cup of tea let me know. Have just finished Absalom Absalom and if it hadn't been for your review and encourage ment I might not even had begun but mightily glad I had.
I just found your channel. You really are inspiring.
My book recommendation for you all: "Mutiny on the Bounty" (the most infamous mutiny ever documented). It is based on real events and the notes from the captain; William Bligh. I can't stress enough how underestimated this book is and more importantly: The second and third book is treasures as well... but everyone just read the first one (based on the statistics of Goodreads). DO NOT make this mistake. The second one is even better... I can not tell you anymore. (and yes, you have to read the first one first.)
I remember that video where he asks u to do this video! It's been so long!
Wondering when the Juliette review is coming. Is that book really long?
I recommend that you take a look at “Scent of a Dream,” a picture book by photographer Sebastião Salgado. It would be an awesome complement to any coffee-themed collection.
I read somewhere about the definition of a mathematician. A mathematician is a devise for turning coffee into theorems. Although it is not about books, I think it relates to this video.
Before starting graduate school I was a barista for 4 years for a micro roaster with hopes of owning my own cafe and becoming a roaster in my own right. That book was indispensable as an educational resource.
A trick : watch series on InstaFlixxer. Me and my gf have been using it for watching a lot of movies these days.
@Torin Cody Yea, been using InstaFlixxer for years myself =)
@Torin Cody Definitely, been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself :)
how do you prepare a good coffee cliff ? That would be very interesting to make a video about, don't you ?
Ps : i hadn't watched the whole video... my question was a little bit useless. Btw still a great video !
So maybe you should do a video about the difference between types of coffee ( arabica vs robusta) and the way to brew it ( french press, italian coffee maker (moka), expresso, coffee filter machine ...) ?
Coffee + books = happiness.
Don't forget prozac with the Balzac.
Read more books and make more videos. We miss you
hey king, can you please read “the people of paper” by Salvador Plascencia and then tell me how I feel about it and how much I like it? Thank you.
John Darnielle offers up a "special thanks to whoever had the original idea for coffee" on the back cover of "Beautiful Rat Sunset" record by his musical project The Mountain Goats.
"It was a really, really good idea" Darnielle writes.
I'll post links below to the entirety of "Beautiful Rat Sunset," but he's also an increasingly well-known writer of fiction and his 2014 book "Wolf in a White Van" was nominated for a National Book Award and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for First Fiction, and it won the Alex Award.
So yes, you should review it.

You + a friend of yours should make a podcast

"The greatest beverage ever produced by humans." Pfft, pleb. Sincerely, a tea snob.
Guys, chill out, let's discuss it over a pint of beer. Sincerely, a beer freak.
@@RafaelCle beer is fine and all, but if you want the real deal you need some high quality whisky (just kidding, I love everything from beer, coffee, tea, whisky, brandy, wine ect ect)
coffee is not bad for your health?
I just wanted to let you know that this video sent me down a coffee rabbit hole and a month later i've dropped a few hundred on grinders, gadgets and beans. It's all your fault, thanks.
Love your channel. Would love to see more female author reviews. I believe you have twelve (give or take) uploaded. I don't mean to comment bitterly on gender bias in the literary world- just wondering if this is unconscious or if you simply prefer male authors. Regardless, I truly enjoy your content.
Actually, Fuck it
Coffee is toxic.
also is oxygen, try living without it
@@RafaelCle False. Also a dumb straw man argument.
You are an idiot.
...and coccyx is toffee down in the tenderloin district 🤔 but come to think about it, they shoot Strawman arguments down 'ere too, don't they?
🤔...or do they just outlaw them in favor of paper arguments? 🤔
@@johndoe-nu6kl It's not idiotic to state a fact.
