Everything is based on construction mechanics. Some interesting things could be freeze like minions damaged have to skip their next attack, or that one minion that only takes 1 damage at a time.

I love how at the intro kripp try to convince us that this is not some bullshit high roll murlocs, and proceeds to get brann on 4 and the megassaur right after
19:40 At this point, Kripp always wins with 5 Murlocs if the opponent does not have Divine Shield Poisonous Murlocs, right? Because his 5 Murlocs would always trade for 10 of the opponents minions. So what Kripp should really do here, is to play around Divine Shield Poisonous Murlocs by already replacing Brann with Hydra or Boat. Brann wouldn't help much in the long run anymore, because stats wouldn't matter anymore anyways. He would only help to print a bit of money or to support another Megasaur.
Right the next round he had a 43 % chance to die, but didn't because he got a little lucky with his plants, which he would have had without keeping Brann, too.
The frustrating thing now is that Kripp keeps the Brann even after that round instead of using Zapp to snipe the opponent's selfless hero, as if he didn't even watch what the other guy was playing.
Then Kripp gets lucky _again_ because the opponent replaced the selfless with a cleave and Kripp positioned his taunt "correctly" by accident and went second by chance. If Kripp went first, his chance of winning would have dropped from 75 % to 25 % basically. If the Coiler didn't attack into a Divine Shield, Kripp would have died. And what's really frustrating about this is how Kripp complains about _bad_ attacks.
Look at the board (22:18): 6 Murlocs for the opponent, 5 for Kripp. The only chance for Kripp to win is by having the opponent's one non-murloc to not hit a single shield while Kripp's two non-murlocs both hit a shield (to make up for one Murloc), which is exactly what happened. Sure the Coiler had the potential to hit more shields just like the opponent's Hydra, but just like that the Coiler could have not hit a single shield at all.
That way, both players had "nine charges" left so to say, since Kripp had 4 Murlocs _with_ shield and 1 without, while the opponent had 3 Murlocs _with_ shield and 3 without. That's how the game works with Divine Shield Poisonous Murlocs and from there it is a tie of the Murlocs every time as long as neither player has plants, which Kripp had, so Kripp would always win from there, which he did.
And then Kripp sells his Taunt (23:50) without even saying "You know, my opponent is probably repositioning his cleave now, so my Taunt loses value." No, Kripp just sold it because he didn't realize the value of it during the last battle.
So the last battle begins and his cleave hits 3 charges, which is fine. The opponent's Murloc hits one of Kripp's charges (Maexxna) and Kripp says that's "not nice", like wtf, does he even know what he is playing? It's a one-for-one trade right there, which is exactly what is to be expected. Doesn't matter if the Maexxna has 2-8 or 100-100, it is 1 charge for being poisonous and it trades with a shield which is also 1 charge. Same for his shield trading with another shield. Dude, that is not "not nice", it is exactly the game you are playing. Saying that is "not nice" is like complaining about a 50-50 being unfair. You could say "not nice" about the Hydra trading for 3 charges since there were also plants to be hit, as that was really the only thing that was going well for the opponent. Everything else, right from going second this time was average at best. The opponent lost because they didn't have plants, that's it. The cleaves traded equally, which was lucky for the opponent, and one of Kripp's plants made up for this -1 charge by having Maexxna without Divine Shield. The remaining 17 % for the opponent mostly came from attacking into Kripp's cleave first (50 % to attack first * 14 % to attack the cleave = 7 % to almost already win right there). The rest came from their Hydra actually trading with 3 charges (or Kripp's Hydra also trading with less charges) and Kripp's plants not trading with any charges.
All in all a somewhat deserved win at the end, but Kripp had zero clue about what he was playing. He had no idea what the chances for either player were or how to improve his board. Damn, that was frustrating. Glad I got that off my chest.
Well said... I figured he could just ghoul and the poisons would trade off and the plants would win like they did cuz even the other guys 6th murloc was weak in toughness and the plants would’ve eaten him alive but then again it’s all about luck and what attacks what lol

Just seeing the title gave me a flashback to a recent game where it was murloc vs murloc all game down to the final two. I had triple brann but never got a megasaur.

That luck at 8:50 is ridiculous. Gambles by selling off some murlocs (playing the ghost so I understand). RNG's into two tidehunters for the triple into Megasaur. The only better high roll there was divine shields over the health buff.
So, your first triple on 4 got you a Brann. Then when you were at 9 health you got matched against a ghost. Found a triple tidehunter from Murozond vs Patches who only had one of them (so it's 1/49 possibilities to happen), and from that triple (first triple at 5 btw) you found Megasaur. From Megasaur you found poisonous. Talk about never lucky

You can sometimes pilot Reno to a murloc build by using his hero power on Spawn of Nzoth really early and relying on that to power level to five stars.

I think it's more the fact that spawn and cannon are on the same tier and serve the same role, and when using both create an unhealthy early to mid game push for the person using said combo.

Hey something amazing just happened ! I just countered divine-poisonous Murlocs in the final and won! Here is what I got i order from the left: Macaw, Unstable Ghoul, Spawn w taunt, Selfless w taunt, Egg w, taunt and divine, Poisonous Old Murk-eye and Golden Baron. Macaw gets 1st hit and triggers Unstable Ghoul. The inferno kills off all opponent’s divine and one of the Murlocs. Then thanks to the taunts and selfless the opponents Murlocs just kept running into my walls and occasionally died off, so epic! 🤩 Note to brain 🧠: Unstable Ghoul can save the day if you can regenerate your own divines afterwards 🔥
What he could have done at the last point:
Buy the toxfin in tavern, sell brann and toxfin the king bagurgle. Put bagurgle at the back. (As he said, stats don't matter)
Search for cleave to replace toxfin with, or a selfless hero.
It did work out in the end, but he didn't need to buy primalfin nor megasaur.

Taking the brann on that triple was not the right play imo, should've taken primalfin and hope to get one of the three buff cards (even warleader would've been ok) to stabilize a bit, really lucky to not die when you levelled to 5 after taking 9 on the previous 3 rounds

Like this may be 100% salt; but its getting really, really tiring hearing kripp complain about OP things while he consistently dumps out giant stats or poison divine shield on his murlocs, and often just gets fucked by them too.
Kripp just wants to play end game builds and not deal with opponents high rolling against him, I understand his point of view because I'm the same way.
@@dawnevergarden3275 I can understand that feeling; endgame feels better; but honestly, murlocs doesnt feel like an interesting endgame; its basically 'dig for megasaur/bagurgle/coldlight/brann/riders to make murlocs big shielded infinite attack boys' which is really repetitive at its core, when there are other endgame strats to play with.
And if there isn't other viable endgame builds, then maybe that's a bit of a murlocs problem.

what I really hate is the the builds that use to be able to shut down murlocs before they reached hyper late arent viable because murlocs just dominate to many games. everytine I get rank one in my games its probably murlocs and when i get seconds its because of murlocs its just really repetitive
Fundamentally I think the problem is that murlocs are battlecry oriented. Your actual murlocs don't matter because any of them can be boosted into viability (ie triple scout), and on top of this, their power spike is with battlecries, which means they get to keep the card pool flooded with their spike cards by tossing them back in. Their major 6 is likely to show up more because it isn't meant to be kept on the board either.
The only choke points are bran (which currently isn't worth it for p much any other comp since they don't have swingy enough battlecries) while for .urlocs it's insane generation
Meaning the only choke point for murlocs is whos playing murlocs, and if someone gets insane early game.

What do you mean murlocs are fun? If you play against murlocs you just get frustrated because you know matter what you do THERE IS LITERALLY NO COUNTER. And if you play as murlocs you're bored out of your mind because you know no matter what you OR your opponents do you're guaranteed to win. Even if it is """balanced""" because most of the time you won't win or whatever bs you made up it's still garbage Blizzard-tier game design to think that flipping a coin on whether you win or lose, with no input, no thought, and no fun, is okay.
